Look for the fuse box just forward of the radiator. it should have the other fuses you are looking for.

Where is the fuse box located on a 1996 savage ls650

Hi Chris,
The fuse box is under the left side seat.

Regarding the brake light, check your brake switch located somewhere at the brake pedal arm. My guess is, it was stucked to ON position that is brake lamp is always lit.

I hope that helps.

Harley davidson front brake switch

Hi Anonymous, this problem is usually cause by the front brake light switch being out of alignment or the button not retracting all the way keeping your brake light on in a closed circuit, depending on your model year. 1996 and earlier models the right handlebar switch housing had to be tight up against the front brake control housing in order for the front brake light switch button to be fully compressed to stop continuity. In 1997 and later models the button was alot shorter and was more of an alignment issue in the switch housing. Rear brake light switches located in the rear brake line TEE can also fail in the closed circuit condition but extremely rare, usually they fail in an open circuit condition where the brake light is not able to activate. For fuses remove seat and directly behind the battery is a black plastic box. The cover slides up and off revealing the starter relay and the system/fuel pump relay for you injected folks and the various assorted circuit fuses. Where is the brake fuse box located in my harley road glide 2008. barke light stuck on,blinkers working. think i blew a fuse.

Have you been working on anything on the right handlebar? If so, you probably broke the front brake light switch. This is a common occurrence. Some times they break on their own as well. From the bottom side of the brake lever on the handlebars, look up and see if you see a pin that comes out and rest against a tab on the lever. If so, press this back into the right handlebar switch housing to see if the brake light goes off. If it does and it only take a small amount of movement, you may can loosen the front master cylinder slightly and move it down against the right handlebar switch housing. If that doesn't work. I'm afraid you're going to have to replace the switch.

Good Luck

My break lights and horn don,t work anymore just went out all of a sudden

Did you check the system fuses? The fuse box is located behind the left side crankcase cover aft of the coolant reservior.

The 15 amp Signal fuse protects the coolant temperature light, the turn signal indicator light, the neutral indicator light, the oil pressure light, horn, brake/taillight, postition light and turn signal light. Basically, if this fuse is blown, your cluster will be inop.

Please let me know if this is helpful.

Hi, Tteboe3500 you have a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short.
