I reside in mysore south india, i have a 400 cc kawasaki vulcan and i need a cdi unit as i have a problem with the existing one,
can some one help me in giving me the information hoe were and how much it would cost me to get the same,

The CDI is a complete ignition system in a box So while a box from a larger model may work it will not be ideal. Look on some of the breaker sites and some internet auction sites for the part number you want. If it happens to be the same across other models you can then look for those spares as well.
i am willing to bet that your battery is dead because your charging system is dead. and that would make the bike do what you saying. NEVER EVER jump your bike with a car running you have run the rest of killing your charging system, because of the amps your car puts out. chack it out let me know
I'm pretty sure it does. I own a 1995 Vulcan and I bought a 2003 tank and looked at the mounting brackets and fuel connections all looked to be the same - but don't put this in stone. I haven't been able to put it on yet because it's still out being painted.
There should be no difference in the fuel tank mounts from 1996-1005, but as always, check with a professional if this information is critical.
