Check stator ac output 1st.check pulse coil next. find cdi box to try next.other possibles- ign coil, try unscrewing plug cap & trimming about 1/4" off coil wire. check spark w/ cap off. finally could be wiring.

What Cdi boxes would fit a 04 ttr 225

Hi, Chad for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. 2001 ttr 225 bike sat all last year. Would start this spring but not idle. Now it won't start. I know the carb had old gas. Where can I find a manual so I can take it apart and know what parts to...

Start by removing and cleaning the carb, it may not need any parts.
also change the oil, fit new air filter, new spark plug, and check the valve clearances

My 2004 ttr 225 yamaha has almost no spark, i want to test the coil, pick up coil, CDI, n CDI starter but dont know what levels Im looking for. Also want to know the ignition diagnosis specs. Im...

it has to be 12v. the bike runs on a 12v system. before u check the cdi. check the plug. and the gaping. i had the same problem but it was the pulse coil. the ttr 225 is more of a beginer bike it comes from the factory very lean. so it might not be that you have a low spark because they are not ment to be fast they just have a low spark from the factory. check your carb and the jets. that might just be your problem. let me know how it works out.

Carba/f ratio needs adjusting and use of the choke will help keep the idle circuits clean.

No Spark on TTR 125 L

Ignition Coil Problem or the CDI. Check for both. Replace the spark plug with a new one for diagnostic purposes.. check also for the wire. I recommend using split fire wires as they're heavy duty. Check that the wires are making contact with the spark plug up to the starter relay to the battery.

Possible running too rich! 2001 TTR 225

First I would pull the spark plug to see what it looked like, you want it to be a chocolate color. If it is black and wet then yes you are running rich. Also check your air filter, go ahead and clean the filter. If all this doesnt solve the problem then we probably need to look at our carb.
