SOURCE: Clutch bleed on a Suzuki 1400 Intruder 2000

One the left-hand side of the bike (facing forward), there is cover plate just ahead of the drive shaft. Remove that cover (mine has 8mm bolts). The bleeder valve is under this cover. Go to an auto parts store and get a "one man bleeder kit" or if you have some plastic tubing that will fit over the valve, you can use that and a clean jar. Follow the instructions on the bleeder kit, or if you're using the jar and tubing, fill the jar about a quarter of the way with break fluid (use DOT4, but never DOT5!). Take the cover off the master cylinder up at the handlebars, place the tube over the end of the bleed valve (after loosening it a turn or two. Place the other end of the tube down in the break fluid in the jar. Work the clutch lever until you stop getting bubbles in the jar. Be sure to keep the fluid level up in the reservoir. Tighten the bleeder valve, remove the tubing, top off the fluid and replace the covers.

Be careful not to get brake fluid on anything. It will eat paint and mess up other things.

Did you sync the two carbs? If not the rear may be getting all the gas from the rear carb and none to the front. Twist throttle engine off and see if front carb cable is pulling the carb open.
Also unscrew the spark plug boot from the front spark plug wire and trim 1/8th inch off the wire and screw the boot back in. The plug wire end may be corroded on that wire.

How to change headlight on 2000 galant

  • 1
Place the Mitsubishi on a flat service in park. Set the parking brake before continuing.

  • 2Open the Galant's hood and locate the headlight cover -- roughly 3-inch wide circular piece of plastic -- behind the headlight bulb intended for replacement. Turn this cover clockwise to unlock it and pull it from the headlight assembly, exposing the headlight socket below it.

Hold the rear of the headlight socket and turn it counterclockwise to unlock it. Pull the headlight socket and bulb from the headlight assembly.

Grab the bulb and pull it from the socket with a slight wiggling motion.

Pick up the new 9003 headlight bulb using a clean, lint-free cloth and line up its prong with the slots in the socket. Never tough the bulb with your bare hands, as the oils left by your hands can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely.

Slide the socket and new bulb into the headlight assembly and turn the socket clockwise to lock it into place.

Place the plastic cover behind the bulb and turn it counterclockwise to lock it into place.

Repeat Steps 1 through 7 for the headlight bulb on the other side of the Galant, if needed.

    9Close the Galant's hood.

if it is a plastic headlight housing you can change just the bulbs lift the hood up and look behind the headlight housing for the access area. unplug the connector and turn the plastic ring off 1/4 turn to the left, then pull the bulb out of socket area. reverse going back together.
if no access panel it may have 2 plastic clips on top of headlight housings pull up on them about 1/2 way and entire headlight housing comes off to gain access for the first part of my notes.
    good luck steve

Changing headlight bulb on mitsubishi starwagon express

ok look, I can't draw, I tried. Feel gratefull, I had to break parts of the car just find this out!
To do this you need to remove the headlight assembly, much the same as you'd do if you had to replace the whole assembly because of a crash.
    1. Remove small panel that runs under headlights and around the side car. NOTE: The indicator plastic light box (the whole thing) is actually a part of this seemingly small panel.
      * Inside the car, behind the door, near the hinge
      * 2 of them under the headlight, in the small gap between headlight and bumper (good luck mine were rusted and I had to forcefully remove the small panel.
    2. Now you will see 2 bolts holding the headlight assemply in place, undo them
    3. There is also a bolt UNDER the headlight assembly, remove it. Now the assembly is not attached to the car (other than by the electrical wires). I had to remove the whole bumper to find this out. When putting it all back together I didn't pay enough attention to note if that bottom bolt was accesible without removing the bumper. I am pretty sure it would be but may require some mechanical acrobatics.
    4. Now that the assembly is out you can unscrew the 2 large plastic caps on the back to access the bulbs (this is much the same as in the few modern sedans I have had to change light bulbs in). There is also a smaller screw in type plastic bulb holder I believe this was the parking light.
    5. There are 3 bulbs, I am assuming you have the ability to actually disconnect and remove them, if not maybe you sould be paying an auto electrician or a friend to do this.
    1. The issue I had was how to access the bulbs, it was not obvious to me, I expected that no immediate rear access would have made the bulb change occur on the OUTSIDE behind the glass, not removing the whole bloody head light assembly.
    2. Mine was an old 1992 piece of ****, breaking bolts and stuff if need be was fine by me as it would have still been road worth but having no headlight is not.
    3. On a 20 percent off store wide day I bought the following items from Supercheap Auto in Austraalia for about $26.00
    4. 1 x Headlight Bulb
    5. 1 x High Beam Bulb
    6. 1 x 2 pack parker bulb
    7. 1 x 2 pack interrior light bulb.
    8. 1 x Single 14mm socket ($4 to replace one I have been missing for ages)
    9. The point of the above list is that it is bloody cheap :D

    Tools Used:
    1. 10mm Socket (headlight assembly and or bumper bar)
    2. 12mm Socket (headlight assembly and or bumper bar)
    3. Philips (star) head screw driver I don't know the sizes. (indicator panel, number plate, buttom of bumper bar underneath each side door)
    4. Rachet from a socket set, and a small extender bar.
    5. All of the above is probably posible with only open/closed ended spanners, i wouldn't want to try it though :D
    6. Any additional tools I used certainly wouldn't be required if you knew what you were doing when you started :D But it was fun!

When low beam headlight is on passenger sign is

Try this to eliminate new bulbs for both sides:
With a partner behind the wheel:
PULL out the bulbs one at a time. Keep them plugged in. While you are holding the bulb - have your partner click and HOLD the High Beam Selection. This causes the Low Beam and High Beam filaments to both go on and stay on.
    Check both sides this way.
While the bulbs are out, look at the filaments that did not illuminate. Are they broken, bent, or have indications they are burnt out?
You can also change to bulbs (left to right, right to left) and recheck using the above method of holding the high beam selector and checking the filaments.

Change the Front indicator on an Audi A4 2001

Take out the two Torx bolts on top of the headlight assembly. Then there is a third hidden bolt. Look through the holes in the top front of the fender, above and behind the headlight's turn signal portion (you'll probably need to shine a light in there) and you'll see the third bolt. Remove that and the headlight pulls straight forward and out. Then you can change the bulb.

Replace front driver signal light bulb

Depending on whether it is the front or the back turn indicator light will determine on what needs to be done. If it is the front turn indicator light open the hood of the car you may need to take the entire headlight out. The headlight may have screws, take the screws out then the front light will come out from the outside of the vehicle replace the burned out bulb. The bulb should snap right in and then put the headlight back in make sure you put all screws back in from the inside of the hood. Step2 If it is the back turn indicator light, go through the trunk of the vehicle. If there is a panel covering the lights you must unscrew the panel and then replace the burned out light bulb. Some panels can be folded down without removing all of the screws to access the lights. This light may not require for you to pop the entire light out you maybe able to just replace the bulb. After you have replaced it screw the panel back into place. The back light should not require the entire light to be lifted out just a simple bulb replacement. Step3 In replacing either the front or the back indicator light you must gain access to the turn signal housing which is usually in the same case as the headlight or your rear lights. It is very helpful to also get the owners manual out this will tell you exactly what type of bulbs you will need to get to replace the indicator bulb.
