After it starts it works fine for five minutes and then it just cuts off then when you try to start it back up it is no use. When this happened to me
i waited a few days before i decided to try it out and see and it did the same thing again
Hello - I just had this problem last week and it WAS the fuel pump for sure, they get warm and get real weak,no chose but to replace it.Only the in tank pump will work properly, trust me i tried and outside electric-NO GOOD.
Sounds like the fuel pump is going/gone bad. When they get warm after running, they get weaker. So the next time you crank it, it's too warm and weak to go.
But when you let it sit, it cools off.
To test, see if you can hear it run and prime the system when you turn the key to the "ON" position.
Even better, you can get a fuel pressure gauge and connect it to the fuel rail to confirm whether or not you're even getting fuel there.
