TSSM or Turn Signal Security Module is more than likely the cause. Look to see if key and or eng light in instrument cluster comes back on after initial 4 second pwr up goes out. The key light coming back on for ruffley 8 seconds and then off shows historical trouble code has been logged in ECU. must take to shop to clear codes.

You missed an electrical connection or severed an electrical connection. Go back and investigate where you touched the bike and you might find that dangling electrical ground or connection. Good luck!

Why do lights flash while on trailer on 2014 street glide

The bike senses movement (like someone is stealing it) and activates the "Smart Security System".
You won't have an actual alarm unless you have the optional alarm installed.

You need to put it in "Transport Mode"

In the transport mode, the Harley-Davidson Smart Security System is armed but the motion detectors are inactive.
The motorcycle can be transported on a trailer without activating the alarm while the starter and ignition remain disabled.

Here's a video how:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA35I8RWI_s

And written instructions:

With an assigned fob within range, turn the ignition switch to IGNITION.
Before the security system lamp goes out, turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Within three seconds, simultaneously press both the left and the right turn signal switches.
After the turn signals flash once, the system enters the transport mode.
With the fob removed, the motorcycle can be moved without setting off the alarm.

I have a 2005 Harley Road King Custom. With ignition switch on, I have horn, brake lights and instrument light. I don't hear fuel pump, turn signals don't work; headlight doesn't work and

Hi Mark, I would start by checking fuses first located behind the left side panel. Then check for continuity at your system/fuel pump relay also in that same general area, check the connection at the turn signal module and for continuity at the ignition switch and your high/low beam switch. This is assuming of course that your security alarm has been disabled. for more information on your question please visit the websites below and good luck:

Fuel Pump(EFI)and lights non-functional, ignition o.k.

Check your relay for the fuel pump, make sure you are getting power to fuel pump connector (outside of tank). Check for fuel flow when pump is on, ( remove tank to fuel rail line from intake side)be carefull this results in a good fuel stream that may go everywhere. Oh yeah and no smoking. Hope this heps as it sounds like the pump is not getting poweror you have a blockage somewhere.

Kawasaki electrical fault,immobiliser not working

Wow...where to begin, I am not a professional mechanic...but I've been buying and rebuilding bikes for over a year now and I've encountered some of these issues.
Q: do you have the original key and ignition still in tact?

the fuel pump and choke you should hear activate when you turn on the ignition and/or press the start button...the fuel pump should be located in the gas tank, there should aslo be a single connector w/2 wires that attaches to the fuel pump...I'd suggest checking that FIRST, in a Kawasaki I dont believe that the F1 light blinks when the ignition is switched to off so do not let that be decieving to you...Another easy fix and hugely overlooked and misunderstood issue is the battery...by this It means that a bike will not have enough "stable power" to "fire" or "spark" a coil, so other than a new battery or a strong jump start you will be unable to determine whether or not there is an actual CDI or ignition issue to contend with...after checking and verifying those issues, please feel free to find me and I'd be happy to share the many small things I've had to contend with

Fuel Pump(EFI)and lights non-functional, ignition o.k.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Appreciate the headsup Toyota ED. I had a discussion with an HD rider/shop owner here in my country and with your indulgence, may I share his thoughts and my inputs:
  • if it were alarm induced power shutdown to the fuel pump, most likely the starter button will also not work (depends on the model/version/region of intended use);
  • there was a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for the upgrade of the fuel pump. The updates would have a letter "A" after the part number;
  • there is a feature called "Storage Mode" involving the use of signal light switches and the key FOB. It might have been inadvertently activated;
  • if it were an alarm induced problem, there would be no spark and would be audible;
  • often found issue with similar symptoms is a corroded fuel pump relay or its terminals/connectors. Might as well clean the entire fuse/relay box and apply electrical grease.
And agree with TE that Rselvy would be in a better position to be of more information.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
