What is engine work temp for a honda blackbird with town driving

128 degrees c (260 degrees f) should be way to hot for that engine. It should probably be at max 210-220 degrees F. Listen for the cooling fan to run when its running hot.

I have a 97 Honda CBR 1100 xx Super Blackbird. What fuel should she be running - leaded or unleaded?

Leaded fuel is not sold anymore. Unleaded is the only choice you have. On a sport bike I might run the higher octane fuel for a little better performance.

Blackbird revs to five grand at tickover

Perhaps the throttle cable is jammed. Try running some oil down the cable and operating it several time (without the engine running).

Is there some dirt in the carburetor mechanism.

Is your water going down in the battery? If so it may be charging much too high a rate.
