Klx 110 2006 stalls when choke is pushed in

Bike sat during the winter with gas in the tank.cleaned the air filter and cleaned the carb with cleaner by removeing the bowl and liberally spraying the carb cleaner all over and in the jets. engine starts right up and idles nicely when the choke is pulled out but when its pushed in it stalls immediately. tried adjusting the air fuel mixture screw but didn't seem to help. trying to sell the bike for my son who out grew it. can you help. need an answer as soon as possible.

engine idles but stalls out when you give it throttle. If I keep the choke pulled it tries to rev up but still dies. Is it normal for the carb to spit fuel back out when I try to rev it?

I'd say the carb is gummed up especially the pilot jet (#16158) in this pic of the USA carb. may have to remove the carb & bowl and then remove the pilot jet (w/ flat head screw driver) and clean out the tiny holes.

-OR-

the carb slide is installed backwards (turned 180 degrees). its #16025 in the pic. i've done this before on my daughter's XR70 and Z50. you'll know if its this when you move the choke lever, RPMs increase and decrease.

hope this worked for you and was fast enough.

Scooter has 40 original miles.New,old gas, I put innew gas. It starts, idles only, if I give it gas it stalls and won't run..

Hi, Rick if your bike has been idle for months or years and does not want to start you will have to deal with a few remedies:
1. Drain and flush fuel tank, google " how to clean a motorcycle gas tank" find a couple forums to view the different options available.
2. Remove your air cleaner and clean and re-oil per Mfg. specifications.
3. Remove the carburetor, disassemble and decontaminate with a carb dip or if you have EFI remove injectors and clean with carb spray and compressed air
4. Remove fuel valve and filter disassemble and clean as necessary, remove fuel lines and replace with new ones.
5. Replace spark plug with a new one and check for spark.

To start and run my kawasaki klx 110 i have to pull the choke all the way out. if i push it in it stalls it was a relatives and has been sitting for a while with gas in it what can i do to fix the problem

Remove and clean the carb. disassemble the carb then soak the carb parts in denatured alcohol for a couple hours then spraying with an aerosol carb cleaner should do the trick. Drain the gas tank and put in fresh gas. Go ahead and install an in-line fuel filter to lessen problems from a rusted gas tank.

Bike is sputtering when give it gas. sat for 2

Make sure battery is full, not just charged. if the sputter is still there you may need to clean air filter, fuel fillter or carbs may need to have trash removed from inside at the fuel float valve-seat and jet.

My 2000 gsxr 600 ran good all summer and sat in the garage this winter went to start it and now it wont idle with out the choke on even after it got warmed up too 200 degrees what do i check for to fix it

It needs the choke which means it has too little fuel. So the first thing is to run some carb. cleaner through it. If you can remove the air cleaner and spray cleaner into the carb. directly to help it clean. Add the cleaner to the fuel tank by following the direction. Too much will not work better thenwhat is suggested. Gasoline tends to evaporate and leave a varnish like hard coating on the fuel system. Takes a while to clean back out. Store all gas powered motors using a stabilizer product, or completely remove the gas before storage.

How long has the bike been sitting? The gas may be bad or the carb might need to be cleaned out or choke may be sticking.

I have a 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 that starts with the choke out but will never warm up. If you turn the choke off it stalls, if you give it gas with the choke on it stalls, If you try to start it...

this sounds more like a fule problem to me, try striping the carbs out and clean all the jets out, also check the fule it reaching the carbs and its not a blocked fule tank or filter as this bike is just not getting any fule to the engine after cleaning the carbs it should run ok, but just to be on the safe side get some cleaner and tip it into the fule tank also

Honda vfr 400 does not idle

gummed up carbs, faulty fuel pump, blocked fuel filter.

all of these will give you that response, fuel starvation.
you are not getting the right amount of gas thru, unles you have the choke on which cuts out some of the air making your mixture a little richer.

if it sat over winter in storage, the carbs probably could do with cleaning. you can try removing the air filter and spraying a bunch in, let it sit over night and see what happens. a good fuel system cleaner (additive) may help. if you can get Berrymans B12 ( dont know what country you in) it may be just american. but if you get some double the dose throw it in the gas tank, run bike til hot and then put it away for the night. then next day hopfully should be better. also if you have an inline fuel filter you could try changing that. does it have an electronic fuel pump.? does it run constantly? http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp
that link will get you a free pdf service manual

Starting 2007 kawasaki klx 250

• The first thing to do with ANY engine that has sat for any longer than a couple of months is to dump ALL the fuel in the tank and carb(s). ALL OF IT !! You'll want to refill with some high priced fuel that has fuel system cleaners (Like Chevron with Techron) not becasue you need high-test fuel, but because you need the cleaners. It's ether that or disassemble the carbs and clean out jets you can't find much less see. Your choice. The carb kits alone will cost you about $50 so a tank of high-test is looking pretty good, huh?

• Now the fact that you tried to crank the engine with old fuel has fouled the sparkplugs. All of them. Go buy all new sparkplugs.

• If your bike has a vacuum fuel valve, then you'll also need to set the valve to "Prime".
