She will start but cuts out right after, give it loads of throttle to keep it going but still try's to die until it backfires then cuts out again! she runs fine when you can get her to go but just spent 3 hours in the wind and snow last night then just as the aa got there she started up ! i have cleaned the plug but its was the same for about half an hour before i got her running again
Sounds like its not getting enough fuel to stay started. Look for clogged fuel lines and bad gas.

Ck fuses and wire connections first. If no problem seen, get bike running and disconnect the ground cable @ battery. If bike dies the problem generally is in the stator or regulator assembly not keeping battery charged. Bike will run untill the battery is too low to keep the ignition system energized and the bike will die. If it continues running w/the ground disconnected, the battery could have a dead cell which will drain the battery in a very short time whether it is running or not.

sounds like you might have some trash in carb being a clogged pilot or main or needle seat in not letting in the proper amount of gas check all passages and use fresh gas if it has been sitting
