Hi my bike runs like **** after around 5 minutes and starts to backfire and kangaroo as if its not getting enough fuel, i have changed the plug and its still the same its all electronic efi so help please!
Aside from your air filter bein spotless and running the best possible tranny oil u need to take your carb off and clean out the jets, slide, float needle and the cylinder it slide up n down in, and the float bowl. also clean out the air boot and air box. if needed, a simple $115 self done top end job might be nececary, remember u have a 125 2 stroke, the most simplest of all man made machines, take advantage of such simplicity my man good luck

KICK HARDER TRY PULL STARTING IT..IN SECOND GEAR..DOES IT HAVE ENOUGH COMPRESSION TO START?IT SHOULD START PULLING IT...START OFF WITH NO THROTTLE THAN IF NOT STARTING CRACK THE THROTTLE SO LIGHTLY AND SHE SHOULD FIRE OFF WHILE IN GEAR BEING PULLED OF COURSE BE CARE FUL NOT TO RUN INTO. WHO EVERS PULLING YOU..USE A LONG TOW ROPE..IF YOUR NOT A SEASONDED RIDER AND KNOW YOUR BIKE VERY WELL I WOULD NOT ATTEMPT THE PULL START...IF NOT CHECK YOUR COMPRESSION AND TIMING..MAJOR VACUUM LEAK MAYBE AT BASE GASKET..IS ENGINE SUCKING TO MUCH AIR? GOOD LUCK..
Look at the
sidewall of both tires. There will be a 'MAX PSI' embossed on the tire. It will
probably say Max 45 PSI. At 45psi the bike will ride like a rock. At 15psi it
will ride really squirrely. Find a psi at which you feel the bike handles well and rides well. One rider may weigh 100 pounds and the next rider
may weigh 300 pounds. The best psi for each rider will be different due to
weight. Chances are that 30 to 35 psi will do the trick. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
Have you noticed whether this happens more often when the scooter hasn't got as much fuel in the tank? (e.g. sloshed around so not enough is getting through the pipe)
Next time you fill up, put a Fuel additive such as Redex in the tank with it.... and maybe also put something like Slick 50 in with the Engine oil, then see what happens from there.
