The first thing is to make sure the gas has not gone bad, it has a carb... so if you smell gas strong try pulling the choke all the way and and giving it full throttle turn and turing it over to clear it out. try that first and see what it does. it may run down the battery so be carefull

hope this will help a little

Check it is charging. The voltage of the battery should be about 14 volts with the engine running at just above idle. If it is lower than this (which I suspect) you will need a new regulator or rectifier. to identify which of these you need will require a visit to an auto electrician.

How to replace stator on Suzuki intruder 800???

Hi, Brian for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. it sits for 2 years so you have to general check and clean everything, first replace the battery, spark plugs oil filter(if any) have your oil change, clean and balance your carburator and air cleaner, remove your gas tank empty it and clean use new gas, if you can spray an WD40 on all wiring socket then start the bike

94 intruder 1400 wont start

Ok you have done all that is needed so far but as I understand you are saying that it is trying to turn over? How fast does it turn over? And do you have spark? Test the plugs by pulling one of them out at a time and grounding it to the engine and try turn the engine over a couple secounds while looking at the plugs. You should have a bright blue spark form all plugs. If you are needing any more help let me know.

Just bought a 2001 vs800 intruder, got it home and will not start

If you're getting no lights then it is either the ignition switch or the battery is not making connection. Check the battery with a multi-meter. Check the fusebox with a multi-meter, any power to any fuses there with key on?
