Oil change on a s wing Honda 125

firstly the swing 125 is designed so you have to put the right hand stand leg in the oil bowl to drain it.so do that first.then undo the 17mm drain bolt which screws upwards into the engine at the bottom near the right hand stand leg.then pull the small wire gauze filter shaped like a thimble out of the drain hole and clean it ,make sure you dont lose the spring, clean the bolt and the spring too then reassemble it .put the smallest end of the spring in the bolt so the big end is facing up then put the rounded end of the filter gauze into the spring then push it upwards into the hole and do it back up .refill the oil from the filler hole above it.and check the oil by dipping the dipstick dont screw it in to check it and make surebits upright when you check it.

I have Honda CG125 model 2005. My mechanic has advised to change oil and other maintenance after 800 km., while i have read in many manuals on internet which allows this between 1500 to 3000 kms. WHAT DO...

The bike is a 4 stroke motor. If you pay a small amount more for GOOD oil you can go to about 5000k's between services.Filter every time.I think your mechanic wants a lot more work .Hope this helps

2001 honda shadow vlx 600 idles fine will not take any acceleration. I have cleaned the carb numerous times changed fuel, float valve and checked float for leaks any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

G'day mate 1st there will be a small gauze filter in the fuel tap ,may also be little gauze at needle and seat in carbs 2nd have you got an air leak , check this by letting the motor idle and spray around the carb where it goes onto the head with WD40/CRC/RP7 style lubricant if it revs up , you got a leak, 3rd remember that a coil will take much more power to rev an engine up than to let it idle . hope this helps

1997 honda cg125 will not start

Have tried a new spark plug?

If yes, check the HT lead connection at cap and coil end end to ensure the metal centre core is not corroded and is in contact with the centre pins at both ends.

Then check the coil wires are connected and that there is a 12v power supply to the coil wire connector. If not there needs to be.

Has the 85 Honda CBX250 got an oil filter, where is it?

The oil filter is located just above the dip stick/ oil mesuring stick.
The oil cover is held in place with three bolts.
The lower bolt has a spacer bewteen the cover and the engine.

Oil filter change where is it and how to replace

It doesn't have a proper oil filter, for this reason you have to change the oil regularly (every 1000 to 2000 miles).

For information on how to change the oil try this link:

The honda xr125 and honda cg125 have the same engine. I have changed the oil several times on my xr125 and I can confirm that you follow the same procedure for both bikes. There is also an oil change demo on youtube for the cg125:
