Cb on 1994Goldwing doesn't work.

CB will come on but there is no sound. If transmit button is depressed it will mute out the radio, tape, etc. I have done all the voltage checks and they were correct. I help to repair this or if someone know of a repair shop. Either one would be of a great assistance to me.

I will try that. My display doesn"t work and I can hear the stereo through the headset of the helmet. When i push the xmit switch it does mute the music but no action from the cb.

Just off the top of my head, It sounds like a bad microphone connection. When you press the transmit button on the mike. it is supposed to shut off your recieve while you talk, so you dont feed back through the speakers. From what you write it sounds like the recieve is being shut down, but your voice isnt getting through. I would try a differnt mike, or if you are handy try taking the connector off the mike apart and look for a broke or loose connection.

Why is humming coming from speaker when mic is keyed?

this is strange as most times if a proper transmit key is depressed , then the radio switches from receive to transmit , the mfg know this would cause some great squeal from receiver /transmitting so close to a receiver so the part that is the receiver is muted to keep this from happening , id say there is some fault in the part that does this muting of receiver

Problem no squelch noise or speaker like its muted, but can hear weather ok shows receiving and ant ok

Since the radio cannot transmit on Weather bands, there is no need for the radio to detect if it is transmitting when receiving weather.
In CB mode (on CB channels) the radio will mute when transmitting. So... a guess is that it is muting, or transmitting all the time in CB mode. Check for a mic problem by removing the Mic from the radio ... if it receives CB with no mic connected, then there is an issue with the mic. Otherwise, unless the unit is in PA mode (public address mode) it is likely something internal and beyond the scope of this service.

The calibrate needle wont move to the right to set whe trying to calibrate on cobra 29 ltd classic new radio

You have to press the transmit button to get the radio to send a signal that you can calibrate the SWR meter to. If you are pressing the transmit button and nothing is happening then it could be a blown final transistor, a bad switch, bad microphone connection etc.

I have an almost new Midland 75-822 that the WX works fine on, but the CB doesn't seem to receive, or transmit. It operates normally, but no reception, and no evidence of transmissions.

you'll need a schematic and some knowledge. there a two diodes that control the rx and two that control the dx.Check them to make sure they are producing the correct power out put if they are not you should replace all 4

How to wire the microfone 77-250cxl mobile cb

Search for the wiring diagram which will show what wires are : audio, receive, transmit and ground etc.

Do the same for the radio---audio to audio etc.

When I depress the transmit button the cb puts a squel out to other radios on the same channel yet I have no problem hearing transmissions from the other radios

It sounds like the mic either has a problem, or its wired incorrectly for that radio.

Try a new mic, and make sure it's wired for that radio.

Also, if you have talk back then it's too loud, or your mic gain is too high.

The type of radio would help me know weather or not it could be the mic wiring.
