Abs light came on in my 2003 chevy venture

It came on today, it is very cold and lots of snow here, I knocked the snow out of my tires and it went off...but it came back on after I drove about 20 miles,,,, could it be the snow and ice causing the problem??

If there is snow and ice building up around the wheel speed sensors, yeh, that would make the light come on.

Abs and traction control off lights on after new tires installed on buick lesabre 2003

if you have a code reader available, reset trouble codes,if that doesn't work you probably need to have it checked out.they may have dis lodged a sensor when they changed the tires.unless you radically changed tire size it shouldn't be the tires

I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe just today i heard a weird grinding sound that seemed to be in the front passenger side wheel area. That sound went away and now the abs light is flashing on and off and dinging...

The water may be condensation after using the A/C.

The noise & abs light combination seems to be the wheel bearing/speed sensor. Get the ODB code checked by Advance Auto for free. That code will let you know what the issue is.

About the only semi-solution to your problem is weight and good tires. I used to fill the pickup bed with snow. Snow is free, heavy and always around when you need it and melts away when you don't.
Good tires are essential as no matter which kind of differential you have if the tires can't grip you won't go anywhere.

Traction system light and abs light

Traction control systems measure wheel speed differences by various methods to determine if one wheel is rotating faster than the other. A heavier buildup of ice/snow could be affecting wheel rotation speed causing the TCS to engage. ABS works by sensing slippage at the wheels during braking, and continually adjusting braking pressure to ensure maximum contact between the tires and the road. Suggest clearing out the wheel wells now and periodically throughout the winter. Also remove ice/snow build up between the wheel and the brake pads/rotor.

Drove home in a snow storm now have brake lights and tire pressure monitoring light

Could be a dirty or snow packed ABS sensor made brake light come on, not 100% sure on yur vehicle. Tire pressures will lower when colder, perhaps all related to snow & cold . If in garage, let it warm up & melt some snow & maybe yur troubles will disappear. I would check tire pressures regardless, they may have been borderline low, and cold caused it to go low enough to trip monitor.
