Replace side panel - R1200ST

I'm trying to replace the side panel but can't figure out how the parts interlock. Where can I find a diagram or instructions on how to remove and replace the right side panel?

2000 Yamaha v star has no fire. Engine turns but no fire. What can I do to fix it. Ck'd the spark plugs n they r good. Changed out spark control box. Still nothing

If you have access to shop manual, follow the wiring diagram for the ignition interlock circuit the shuts ignition down if bike tips over, or you place it in gear with sidestand down.
I believe part of the circuit runs through your ignition switch so do continuity checks on it to ensure switch is fine,
Usually the interlocks even prevent cranking the starter.
Is your neutral light working okay..and have you tried starting it with the sidestand up, and the clutch pulled in?

Neutral lights is out, with kickstand down and in neutral, bike will not start. also, the headlight doesn't work, yet the brights do.

The normal interlock on Yamahas is that you cannot crank starter if the machine is in gear with sidestand down. If you flip the sidestand off, it will start if the clutch is pulled in.
The problem is your bike is in neutral but the safety interlock relays are not seeing it and this is keeping the neutral lamp off also. Inspect the wiring on the left side of chassis near the should see a harness with a single sky blue wire, thats for neutral switch. The circuit grounds down at the neutral switch which is mounted inside crankcase.Ensure the connector from switch is clean and secure...if neutral light still doesn't work, unhook connector and temporarily ground the upper section of the harness...should see light illuminate, it it does, the issue is in the neutral switch in the crankcase.
The switch screws onto crankcase and there is a spring loaded brass pin that is fastened to shift drum that rotates across the inner face of the switch as you shift gears...when you reach neutral...the brass pin makes contact under the terminal, grounding the circuit, causing the neutral light and your interlocks to be satisfied.
The brass pin wears over time so it may be losing contact when you are in neutral. if necessary replace the brass pin ("neutral point ") and the spring "compression spring") found in the shift cam fork section of the parts diagrams.

Can't figure out how to. Remove the seat on my 2008 Suzuki qlink

The plastic side panels have bolts just below the QLINK printed on the side(s) of the seat; take the 2 bolts out and the seat will slide to the rear and off.
Replace the seat by sliding the 2 "L" shaped holders on the bottom, front of the seat into their sockets and replace the 2 bolts

How to I fix my 996 so that it will stay running in Neutral with the side stand down?

replace or defeat interlock switch at kickstand pivot. Please reply if you have more questions

The impeller screws onto the impeller shaft. Go to the site below and you can see a parts diagram. You will select the brand, year, model, etc... It has the part numbers and prices.

There are actually two seals. Are you sure the leak is a bad seal and not the water pump gasket or a cracked/broken housing cover?
