Sounds like the headlights are either pulling more current than the stator can provide(doubtful) or you have something bad(regulator or stator) that needs attention. Either way - the bike is built to have the headlight ON all the time it is running. Check to make sure that your battery terminals/cables are GOOD AND TIGHT and get out a volt meter. Put the meter on the battery with the bike off. Start it. Check to make sure the voltage goes up - if it does not - the bike is not charging.

SOURCE: 2005 Triumph Daytona 955i Dead Battery and Check engine Light

I have just found my 30 amp fuse blown on my daytona , this prevents the alternator working , it was reading 10.9v before I changed the 30 amp fuse , now it reads 14.5 volts , I think I blew it as I didnt know how to put the alarn into service mode and left the ignition on , anyway I am hoping its just that , 3 heat up/cool down cycles and the engine management light should go out

SOURCE: CHARGE BATTERY, THEN START BIKE UP. AFTER RIDING

Sounds like you are not getting a charge from the alternator. You need to check battery voltage with a meter with the engine off, key off. Then again with it running, and the voltage should increase. If not, it's not charging.

1995 Buell S2 Battery will not start the bike

Sounds like the battery is not holding a charge, if you connect a volt meter just after charging you will get a good reading, each cell of a battery is 2.2 volts so you should have a reading of 13 volts. Battery may have a faulty cell, which will drag the other cells down, is the electolite covering the plates in all the cells, this will affect the battery's ability to hold a charge. My Suzuki did this earlier on this year, nearly bought a new battery, checked and topped up the electolite first and its been fine since

I have a 2000 buell cyclone m2. Cutting out intermittently. Seems to happen at lower RPM. There is some wear on the rear spark plug wire, wondering if it could be that. Also, my signals all quit...

Check your grounds on the bike - if it's a intermittent run issue, it could be that simple if some of the other systems on the bike are now failing as well. Of course they might not be related, check your fuses and make sure the cables on the battery are good clean and tight.

Batery doesnt charge while bike running,

If your battery isn't charging, it could be one of two things; your stator or your regulator/rectifier. Sounds like one of them is going bad.

Try changing your spark plugs, this should get you started but also drain out old fuel a put fresh fuel in, use a fuel system cleaner like redex etc in a couple of tanks of fuel.

1997 S1 lightning

They had a recall on the shocks on those bikes.  They changed the shock and the bracket.  It depends on if your bike has been updated or not.  Also not all the shocks interchange.  The dealer can run your vin to tell you if the update has been done.,
