My 05 sedona was doing the same thing. Turns out the oil grade was to high. You need to get the oil changed with 5 - 30 grade. Add moa treatment and then drive in 2nd around your block keeping it between 2,500 & 3,000 rpms when you drive around the block. That will bleed your lifters and should fix your problem.

Hi how are you? a ticking sound would be from one or more bad lifters. tyr to give it a oil change with a lighter weight oil for the winter.if that does not get rid of it then your lifters are no good and would need to be replaced.

Go directly to your mechanic! Sounds like that could be a couple of things, one of which is a bad piston. They start to make that ticking sound as they are hitting metal, or the inside of the cylinder. A piston goes bad from overheating the engine, running it while low on oil. The piston just has to get warped, just a little, and it starts making this noise.
I would get it to a good mechanic, or dealership that you trust. They can sometimes fix the piston, if it hasn't been damaged too bad, or replace it. Just don't run it, as is; you'll ruin your motor.

2006 Kia Sedona font and rear blower motor do not work. Checked both fuses and they are fine. Any ideas?

had the same problem with my kia sedona. Had to take to the shop for repair. I had checked all of the fuses and all tested ok, but apparently there is a fuse called an engine resistor fuse located somewhere on the motor that controls this. cost of repair was 300.00 Part was 150.00 plus labor, Maybe you can get a location by googleing it. I never could locate a Chilton manual,, only a complete set of books for 1500.00 apparently dont want shade tree mechanic like me working on it. Hope that helps.

Ticking sound from engine compartment

From what you're saying, it sounds like the lifters are tapping, almost like a clicking if i'm correct. Go to Advance Auto Parts, and buy some Seafoam in a can, you can pour some directly into your oil, and the noise should sieze. Also pour some in your gas, it really helps the engine. If you ask the cashier, they will take you right to it.
