My Honda CBR 900rr (95)will not start. It was idling and just stopped. I get the battery recharged and it started but sounded rough and stopped again. the motor turns over but has a knocking sound. Some times it starts (with the knocking sound) for a few seconds then dies out again. There was a knock the lower portion of the motor before it died. I could kinda hear it when it was idling(it was soft) or when I rev the engine hard and hold it at the high rev I would hear it for a split second and then it would stop. If I gradually rev it up I would not hear the knock at all. I changed the oil and coolant (from honda dealer) so both were at normal levels. The engine has 32,000 miles. Any advice?

Battery is a fully charged newer battery. I just rode it a few weeks ago without a problem. Now, when key is turned on there is nothing... No lights, fuel pump sound etc. checked the fuses and they fine???

If I drive my bike for a long time it starts to stutterlike its not getting gas into the engine. If I pull over and turn it off it goes back to norml for a bit then does it again. wndeing if its fuled spark plugs or fuel pummp cause the pump is priming when I turn it on

My honda cbr 125 wont start. Battery okay

i think youneed to start the bike with a fully charged battery and the choke open with no throttle and keep turning it over till it stars failing that check the fuel hoses and vacum hoses to the carb

Hello am new both on here and to using biking. My Honda CBF 125cc is brand new -just two weeks old.(NOTE: It is not a cbr 125 but I had to choose that option as there my model was not offered in the menu)....

Since it is only two weeks old, I suggest you ride it to the dealer and let them look at it. They will not charge anything because the bike is under warranty.

My 95 f3 will crank but wont start. everything was working fine replace a headlight now it wont start with the starter. battery is charged and i can push start it but the engine just cranks and cranks and...

Sounds like a wire or plug got disconnected while changing the headlight out, the harness that connects to the clutch safety switch, the one that lets the ignition fire when cranking only when the clutch is pulled in. A safety feature so you don't dump the bike if you crank it while in gear.

Bike wont kick over

do u have any spark at the spark plug. When the kill switch is faulty it won't give any spark try disconnecting. sometimes this kill switch grounds itself or the contacts stay closed. For it to have sparks contacts should be opened. This kill switch grounds the coil so the engine stops running

My honda cbr 600 is struggling as if it keeps running out of petrol. whats happening?? Having a similar problem. I've had a 1996 CBR600F (50 000km) for about 14 trouble free months until recently. The...

It all seems to be leading to fuel starvation. Have you checked the tank breather is not blocked which can be a small hole in the petrol cap or a tube from under the tank. It could also be a blocked fuel filter. There should be two. One inside the fuel tank under the petcock, another before the fuel pump. Here is the workshop manual where you can find all info you will ever need for this bike.
Hop this has been useful, rate me if it has...?

Honda cbr 400 rr starting problem

i could not find a schematic of a 96 cbr400rr, so guessing this bike is not from the USA. however, there should be a master fuse near the battery on the positive side mounted to the battery box somewhere. i would check this fuse first to see if its burned out.

also, is battery fully charged? might have to top charge the battery to get good juice if its old (>3 years) and been sitting for a bit.

good luck.
