I would like to know the float level dimension for the carb on a 1987 Harley Davidson Anniversary Low FXLR. I have heard that the carb for this bike was used for only three years 1987 - 1989. It has the...

I don't have a setting for that particular carb either. This is not uncommon when dealing with the Japanese carbs. Just set the float level the same as previous year models. The difference in the carbs is the later model had an extra mid-range port in it that fed directly from the float bowl. If you look at the float bowl, you see an extra hole in it. Inside the throat of the carb, you see an extra mid-range port that is kind of down on the side of the venturi. The 'transition ports" are at the top of the carb as well as the idle port.

Good Luck

The bike was very hard to start and the petrol is pouring through the overflows

Float inside the bottom of carb is attached to a needle that shuts off fuel when the proper fuel height is reached inside the bowl. This tiny needle usually has a rubber tip that is pushed upwards by the pressure of the float. Trash on the seat of the valve, or improper float height are common culprits with fuel pouring out of overflows. you can clear trash of the valve seat by blowing into the fuel port on the side of the carb. You can adjust float height by bending the metal tab that pushes on the needle valve.

IM LOOKING FOR REBUILD KITS FOR CARBS 1981 HONDA 750C I CAN FIND EXPECCIVE ONES I NEED TO FIND KITS FOR ALL FOUR CARBS A A CHEAP P[RICE

Go to bikebandit.com and you'll get what you need in the aftermarket parts after you type the bike in and look in OEM parts first then go to aftermarket parts under fuel systems. The Oem parts are not in kits you just buy what you need. diaphrams are the most money but if yours aree good don't buy them. Bike parts aren't ever cheap.

FJ1100 is running a little bit rough and fuel is leaking out of #2 carb fuel over flow hose

It looks as if you'll need to rebuild your carbs. As for No. 2 cylinder it would appear the float is stuck down not shutting off the fuel supply. This may be a mechanical issue with the carb or simply some build up not allowing the valve to shut off completely. I'd pick-up a rebuild kit, remove the carbs, tear them down and clean them up.
I hope this may have helped
Tom
PS: Great bike!
