Torque settingsfor head on lister petter mini6 engine

I have just rebuilt one for our Westerly 21. This is from my Petter 'A' range workshop manual:-
The water cooled engines (AC1W etc.) are:cylinder head nuts: 30NM (22 lbft) except 32.5NM (24 lbft) for the one that also holds the rocker.
Valve clearances are 0.1mm (0.004") COLDReset valve clearance after one hours running since torquing the head.
Retorque head and set valve clearance after initial 20 hours running
I believe Mini-6 refers to the water cooled engines but just in case, the air cooled engines are 27N (20 lbft)

What are the operating temperatures for HD Sportster XL1200L please

The Sportster is an air cooled engine and as such, there will some components that run hotter than others. If you're going by oil temperature, I would want the oil to exceed 230°. If your bike is riden in extremely hot climates, maybe an oil cooler is in order. Do not allow the engine to sit and idle for extended periods of time either. There must be air flow across the fins of the cylinders. Remember, it's an air cooled engne, not forced air cooled nor water cooled. You can "cook" your engine if you're not careful.

Good Luck

Hi how do you tuneup a yamaha fzr250 2kr, thank you for your help.

Your bike has electronic ignition. There is nothing to set or reset on the timing. Change the spark plugs, adjust the valve lash, change engine oil and filter, clean or replace the air filter, lube and adjust the chain and cables, inspect the sprockets and wheels, add water to the battery if needed, wash the bike. That's pretty much everything the dealer does.
