SOURCE: 2003 yamaha road star 1600 when fuel pump is

The float in the carburetor is stuck. It will require removal and cleaning to provide a permanent solution. Try striking the offending carburetor with a hard object,(screwdriver handle or such) if the flow stops, that is the problem.

Fuel overflow problem with 2007 roadstar silverado 1700, gas runs out the carburator onto the ground--sometimes won't crank--

Gas running out of the carb indicates that the internal float valve is not shutting off the flow when the float bowl fills up. Might need cleaned; might need a new float valve assembly. Not cranking is an electrical problem. If you mean that the engine cranks over but doesn't start - then this could be a related carb problem. Take the bike to a reputable repair center near you.
