SOURCE: my honda cb750 motor wont start

Does It have sparks?
Take out one spark plug, put the cable on the cap, put the spark plug body agaist the engine block (attach It with something...DON'T take It with your hands!!) and try to start the engine. There must be a spark between the spark plug's electrodes every 2 or three pushes to the kickstart lever.
If It has spark, there is a problem with the gasoline not going into the cylinders (carburetors or fuel line clogged)
If It has no sparks, there is an electrical/ignition problem.
You don't specify which model It is....but this is a tip for motorcycles in general.

SOURCE: removal of honda cb750 ignition switch

Most Honda ignition switches can be removed by unbolting one side of the head light, swinging it out of the way, reach up with a 10 mm socket on an extension, and unscrew the two bolts holding it in place. Once you pull it straight down you can unplug the harness from the base of the switch and remove it from the bike.

SOURCE: I have a 2003

Honda air cooled in line four 750's have always had the problem of developing head gasket leaks on the outside corner . The only fix for the leak is to take the head off and replace the head gasket.

Hello all, I was just wondering how to fix an apparent open throttle on a 1982 Honda cb750 Nighthawk 750?

I suspect that the throttle cable is out of the end setting from removing and replacing the carbs or a return spring for the cable has broken off and not pulling the throttle back to idle position
