are you using the choke when trying to start when its below 70?

did you trickle charge the battery when you bought it before installing it on the bike?

Hi, Bmore_scorpi before testing any electrical component in the Starter Circuit it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test because your battery may have 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amps causing the battery to be faulty and must be replaced, especially "AGM" batteries.
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter.
4. Bank angle sensor needs a reset or is faulty.
5. FOB battery low or dead.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Security alarm needs a reset.
10. Starter relay, solenoid or starter circuit wiring faulty.
11. Starter armature or field coils have failed.
12. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
13. The electric starter is working but starter clutch has failed.
14. Check for engine trouble codes.

Why my battery on my 1996 Honda magna vf750c wont stay charged

How old is the battery? Will it hold a charge if you have it charged by shop or Auto parts place? Have you checked the cell water level? If low use distilled water only, be careful, inside is acid that will burn your skin or anything else. If It is a good battery, you have switches that are staying on, or a short to ground, bare wires next to the frame somewhere.

My 1996 VF 750 C Magna starts fine with the choke open. After a minute or so as I reduce the choke and try to open the throttle, the engine just stalls out. Cannot seem to get the throttle to control

I think you are mixed up. The choke is usually closed to start a cold engine and opened once the motor warms up. The choke is closed to restrict the air flow and make the mixture richer in fuel. You can't open a choke that's already open. It's stalling because it's starved of fuel. Either a blockage or the fuel pump is not supplying enough gas.

I have a 94 honda magna wont turn over but with a new battier it will for a week

your not charging or have a short slowly draining power. not familiar with bike, but would assume it to have an alternator. if you have an know how to use a volt meter,( you should connect it to the battery while running an see if it reads above 12 volts. if it,s not, your not charging. if it is, you have a short.), if not, i recommend you take it where you have it serviced or your local dealer

Turns over but wont start after sitting for 6 months

Be sure to keep the battery fully charged. It may have enough battery left to turn the starter, but not enough for a good strong spark.
