SOURCE: fork and engine oil for kawasaki kle 400 from 1993

Get the fork oil from the Kawasaki dealer and he will give you the right oil and tell you how much is needed. The gearbox oil is 10w40, any major brand is fine. I think your bike has a oil dipstick? If not then the oil capacity should be on the casing by the oil fill. Worst case, ask the dealer while you are there!
Best wishes and I hope this helps.

Please rate this solution. Thanks Robert!

2007 Harley Davidson FXSTB. Changing fork oil and have misplaced my manual. How much fork oil do I put in the tubes after all drained ? Appreciate your help!

I'm sorry but I don't have that information on the newer bikes. I specialize in the older bikes that the dealers will no long work on. You can call the service department of any local dealer and they should tell you how much oil goes in it. Ask for the "wet" quantity. This is the amount of oil you add when you simply drain and refill the fork tubes. If you disassemble the fork tubes, you need to add the "dry" quantity of oil.

Good Luck

I have had the same fork leak after being replaced two times,on my o1 rd king, whats the deal was that a bad year fork seals, leaking again.

First off, make sure you or whoever is doing the work is installing the correct seal in the proper direction. A seal put in backwards will leak like crazy. Also, make sure you're putting the correct amount of fork oil in once you get finished. There are usually two different quantities of oil listed. One is a "WET" quantity that you add when you simply drain the tubes and refill them. The other is a "DRY" quantity that you put in whenever you disassemble the tubes. I usually use 30 wt. fork oil. You shouldn't be having a problem unless you have something really bad wrong. The fork tube must be sized to fit the bushings inside the lower fork tube (slider) so the seals should work.

1999 FZX250 Zeal, need the fork oil grade and quantity per leg

You can use Castrol 10 fork oil which is a mediocre type or Castrol 15 for hard rebound. The quantity should not exceed 250 ml per leg. Cheers

Honda FMX 650 - quantity of hydraulic oil

The best way,is to drain a fork leg into a container, and measure the amount. however if you cant do that, start of with about 100ml in each leg, test them out, if to soft, you can always add a little more oil. from memory, a 250ml bottle of fork oil was enough to do both legs on most bikes.

KX 125 (2003) motorcycle

its 120 mm or 4.7 inches from the top of the fork
Some measure the oil quantity and fill the fork up, some fill the fork up and measure the oil level. The most correct method is to measure the level, I guess, but many guys measure in quantity.. both ways work well.
