Coolent coming out of over flow hose and bike feels like its over heating yamaha 2003yz450f

Hi De Lara, and the usual suspects are:
1. Insufficient oil supply, or oil not circulating.
2. Insufficient air flow over the engine.
3. Heavy carbon deposits.
4. Ignition timing retarded due to faulty MAP, CKP, and/or CMP sensors.
5. Leaking intake or exhaust valve.
6. Low coolant level Good luck and have a nice day.

Rattling in #5 piston, What is it?

I just send you the description; will need visit your mechanical technician.
Rattling, Knocking Sound (lower engine noise) - If a heavier noise seems to be generated from the lower half of the engine the problem can be more serious and disassembly maybe required. But, sometimes a lower engine noise could be generated due to excessive carbon (carbon is a natural by-product of the combustion process) build up on top of the piston. This noise is created when carbon is compressed between the piston and the cylinder head. If you elect to perform a de-carbon procedure start and run the engine until warm, have a helper hold the engine at about 1500 RPM.

As the engine is running poor a small amount of water down the throttle body, about a cup, you are creating a steam cleaning effect to break up the carbon that will exit the engine. Don't worry if steam is generated from the exhaust during the treatment, this is normal. If noise is gone after the treatment the carbon has been removed, if the engine noise is still there lower engine dis-assembly is required.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

My cr500 dies when revved

Before you do anything else you need to give it a service (filter and plug change) if this doesn't help then you need to give the bike a de-coke. When a 2-stroke runs it burns oil, this leads to carbon build up in the combustion chamber and sludge in the exhaust pipe(silencer). The instructions for this are in your manual, and should be carried out regularly to keep the engine running. I hope you get your "oiler" running properly again.

My 92 kawasaki zx6 won't turn offer unless I pop the clutch

You either have a bad switch, a hot wire short feeding unwanted juice to the ignition system, or the pistons and cylinder head need to be de-carboned. Hot spots of carbon are continuing to ignite the gas even without a spark. Be sure the spark plugs are correct > NGK CR9E or use NGK C9E. Too hot a plug, ( i.e. cr7e ), will make the engine run at a higher temp. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

81 yamaha xj 650 spark plugs fire when engine isn't running

If you are saying the bike still continues to want to run, (rough running I am sure ), after the key is shut off then the engine is "dieseling". Carbon buildup on the piston / valves/ cylinder head is getting red hot from running. The hot spot(s) serve to ignite the fuel much the same as the spark plugs would. Burn only premium gas, be sure the cylinder is clean and not caked with mud or such, and change to a colder spark plug like NGK BP-8es or BP-9es ( BP-7es is the stock plug ). This may keep the engine cooler and stop the problem. The only other way is to pull the head then de-carbon it and the pistons. While the head is off, re-seat the valves using valve grinding compound. Check out Babbitts for parts. Go to Please rate my answer.

If you are talking about the carbon, oil buildup, the easiest way is to put it on the grill or throw it in a fire! You will have to paint it afterwards, tho. I have seen people put it in diesel fuel or kerosene, and light it on fire, but always be super careful with flammable liquids! If it has a baffle or silencer, take it out also

Fouling plugs

Get a new NGK spark plug one heat range hotter than stock. Be sure the fuel mix is 32/1 using two stroke engine oil ( not motor oil ). A 32/1 mixture equals 4 ounces oil to 1 gallon of gas. Remove the cylinder head and de-carbon the top of the piston and head.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

1996 Crown Vic, Valve noise under heavy acceleration

No use what's in there, but have the engine de-carboned by a Ford dealer, or remove the octane adjust shorting bar located near the ignition module (retards timing 2 degrees), this will in most cases cure the issue unless there is allot of carbon in the cylinders. There are also methods of ing this de-carbon procedure at home, check on the internet for tips.
