Unleaded. Leaded petrol will damage your catalytic converter. If you remove the converter (or just burn it out without plugging it) you can safely use either one.

Can i use unleaded petrol on my suzuki gs550 1979

Hi, Frank excellent question if your Suzuki owners manual specifies leaded fuel then you have three options replace the valve seats with hard stellite seats designed for unleaded fuel, run Avgas (aviation leaded fuel) or run unleaded fuel until you start having compression or smoking issues then replace the valves and seats, personaly I would opt for the latter as it would take many thousands of miles before you had an issue for more information about your question please visit the website below. Good luck and have a nice day.

I have a 1999 Volkswagen Microbus Exclusive 2.6I which runs on leaded petrol. Two months ago we filled the tank inadvertently with unleaded petrol. Now the vehicle jers in second gear. Has this got to

easy to check. look under the vehicle close to the manifold and if you see an oval shaped stainless steel containerther you most likely will have a c/c. next point if you use leaded in a unleaded vehicle it will affect the catalytic converter buy causing it to block the oxygen senson may be contaminated and not sending the right readings to the cpu so the engine management system will be affected. Best have it checked at a dealer before you do any more damage.

Can 94 jetta run on leaded or unleaded petrol

It is best to run this engine on unleaded petrol. A high grade unleaded will give you extra performance and cause no damage. Leaded fuel was designed for cars made in the 60's to 80's that had used softer materials in their cylinder heads, leaded fuel pro-longed cylinder head life and reduced pre-ignition. Unleaded fuels are a cleaner, safer fuel to use.

What fuel is recommended? Regular or unleaded?

The engine comes from japan, a daft statement but the engine was designed to run on unleaded petrol in japan and when they came to England we still ran fully leaded petrol the engine is quite happy on ether fuel the motor may be unsettled for a while but will stablise if you change over from one to the other.

I have a Isuzu D/C 4x4 KB 260 1997 Do I use unleaded or leaded petrol

I am assuming since you posted this question you are not US based where leaded petrol has been phased out since late 70's. The Isuzu KB260 truck was manufactured to use Unleaded petrol. Lead was added to be a lubricant in older engines that were hand machined in factories LONG ago... the valves and all werent as close in tolerance and the lead in teh gas helped keep them in shape. Newer engines, such as your Isuzu, utilize computer machining during assembly and the tolerances are more the lead is not required. Be sure and use Unleaded in your vehicle.
