Remove screws on rear of rear light housing, both left & right. Pull bulb housing to rear until it's clear of holders. Turn bulb holder counter-clockwise to remove it from the bulb housing. Press bulb into its socket & turn it counter-clockwise to remove.

Battery dead need to remove or replace..... first i have to get to it

First remove the seat...then the grab rail...then remove the right seat panel...that's 1 screw under the right rear, 1 under the side of the grab rail, 1 on top under the seat and 1 near the airbox side covers.
Then remove the battery retainer bracket...that's got 1 bolt on the left holding it in, then swing it out and unhook it on the right.
Next remove the rectangular rubber bung in the plastic cover at the rear of the fuel tank under the seat revealing the + terminal of the battery. Disconnect this and the - terminal and the battery slides out.

Hello! I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V Both the right and left brake lights stopped working at once. The center brake light on the trunk still works. I was googling to see how to change the bulbs but it...

I assume the solution is the same in a CTS as a CTS-V. Remove the plastic molding facing the rear. There are four plastic screws, Unscrew and lift the spare tire cover. Unscrew plastic screws on carpet covering quarter panels pull back for room to work. Each light assembly has two nuts, remove these and assembly will slide out for easy replacement. Since both lights stopped at once, the fuse may be the issue. The fuse box is under the rear seat cushion, behind the driver. Pull the seat up and forward. Pull levers out on each side of fuse box cover and lift. The diagram is inside the fuse box cover. It'll take a 15V. Note: Please take care in replacing and seat and proper seat belt placement. While you're in the backseat, check all the fuses, there's a second fusebox on the passenger side. Also, check floor behind driver's seat for wetness and water. That could cause a short as well. Good luck!

How do you change the the BREAK LIGHTS on a chevy cobalt ss 06?

If you just want to replace the brake light bulbs, you can access them through the trunk. I think you pull away the carpet that lines the inside of the trunk behind each light and there may be plastic panel that is easily removed also. Once you expose the back of the break light assembly, grab the plastic holder the light is seated in and twist counterclockwise and pull out. Then push down and twist counterclockwise on the bulb to release it. Replace by following the instructions in reverse.

My high level brake light has bruned out,(third brake light). I was informed by the dealer the back window panel has to be removed to replace the 3.00 dollar bulb, total cost 75.00 dollars. With some

replace the bulb...??? This requires you remove the rear package deck (to access the bulb & socket). to do this, remove the seat bottom (two bolts hold the rear seat bottom to the chassis, then remove the bolts which hold the shoulder cushions (LH & RH - 12mm bolts) then remove the cosmetic molding around the trunk access (7 to 8 screws) then remove the "C" pillar covers (SRS curtain airbag LH & RH) to access the rear deck package & access the third brake lamp bulb. replace it, then reassemble.
