Reverse on snowmobile

I have a 97 artic cat panther 440. I lost the reverse on it. I took the cover off the gear box and noticed the middle gear seems broken. Is there a pic or something that I can look at. And is it a big problem changing the gear? Thank you

Yes there is, look uo the type of bike on Google, and type the problem, and you can work your way thru it. Remember, get a Sharpie Marker, and Zip-lock bags, and label the parts as you take them apart so that you can map your way thru this job.

Start with 1 1/2 turns. Start engine then turn it in until it starts to stumble then turn it out until it starts to stumble. The happy place is in between those two points

Install snowmobile track on a 1979 kawasaki 440

In order to install a track on the 440, you have to FIRST "Ensure you have the RIGHT TRACK". 15x121 2.5 pitch Normally they were 3/4 inch depth.

1. Remove Rear Axle
2. Remove Bogey Wheels
3. Take Chain Off Axle
4. Remove Front Axle with Old Track
5. Install New Track (Pay attention to direction of track if you get a Camoplastic)
6. Reinstall Bogey Wheels
7. Install Rear Axle

Sir/Mam please tell in scooty pep plus clutch box is present or not if present then tell me where it is present . But I think that their in no clutch box because it is auto gear bike

You do have a clutch type drive system, its always changing the drive ratio like a snowmobile clutch. that will be under some of the covers between the motor and the rear wheel

I have a 2004 Artic Cat Z570 and it is running like it has water in the gas, I tried dry gas and changed the fuel filter, still pops and acts like it is going to stall. If I keep the machine at the same...

Let me say to begin with that I don't know a lot about your Artic Cat vehicle. Seems you've posted this on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle site.

But, if your machine is equipped with carburetors, you could still have water in the float bowl(s). Depending on the type of vehicle it is, you may have a drain on the lower portion of each float bowl. It'll be a screw that you can unscrew a few turns and open a drain. There should be a clear drain hose on the bottom of each float bow.

Since you have changed the fuel filter, you may need to do this again. Depends on how expensive the filter is. If it an expensive filter, I'd go buy a can of "Sea Foam" and mix that to the gas in your fuel tank. It is designed to absorb the water and mix it with the fuel. Your engine may not run quite right until you get all this fuel run out. If there is a way to drain the fuel, I'd do that and use it in a lawn mower or something.

Now, all this is assuming that you have water in the fuel. But, if your engine is running poorly and there is no indication there is water in the fuel, then it's got to be somewhere else. With my lack of knowledge of the machine, I don't know if it's a jet ski, snowmobile, or four wheeler, I'd just be guessing at best. If it's getting too much fuel, look for black smoke out of the exhaust. If it's popping out of the carb, it's because the mixture is lean. Look for water in the fuel or the jets are clogged up.

Good Luck
Steve

I need to know how the fule lines go in a 82 440 kawasaki snowmobile none of mine are hucked up right and does that model need a battary.

Your snowmobile does not need a battery to run. The fuel line form the tank goes to the IN "arrow" on the fuel pump. The OUT "arrow/arrows" go to the carburetors. The pulse line goes from the nipple on the back of the motor to the pulse nipple on the fuel pump.

Pull clutch on arctic cat 700 snowmobile

you must buy the correct puller from a jobber or from artic cat dealer. it looks like a long threaded bolt that screws into the center of the clutch do not attemp to remove any other way you will damage the clutch or even worse the crank shaft. these pullers are usually around 25.00$
