Best oil is AMS fully synthetic 20/50.

Replace the oil filter, filling it 1/2 full during installation

Take out the plugs and squirt some oil into the cylinders. Rotate the engine by hand a few times, or with the plugs still out, crank it over 5-6 times.
I'd (re) break it in carefully. Let is warm up about a minute, then cool it - do that a few times and check for leaks. Id drive it conservatively for awhile and change the oil no later than 500 miles

Where is the oil drain on a 2000 flstf fatboy?

From the right side of your bike, look under the oil tank and find a hose or pipe running downwards towards the transmission. Follow this all the way down to the lowest part of the frame just behind and to the rear of the transmisson behind the exhaust pipe. There will be a plug in the hose or pipe. Remove this plug to drain the oil tank.

Good luck

Cannot locate oil plug drain for my 2001 Fat Boy FLSTF

So I checked another Harley maintenance book of mine, and it says "On pre-2000 Softails, the drain is on the right side of the tranny near the dipstick. On the 2000 and later Softails, the drain is located on the bottom between the two shock absorbers. The drain plug on Dynas and FLs is located on the bottom of the transmission case next to the oil drain."

I got this from another site, I was going to say, it might not be on the bottom, but I found this, seems nobody can find it. Hope this helps.

Honda eterno 2000 model scooter engine consumes mobile oil and giving white smoke. What are the reasons & remedies.

is it a 2 cycle or 4 cycle motor? if 2 cycle you have maybe too much oil in the mix or broken rings. if 4 cycle then maybe accidental oil in gas or broken rings. if neither are oil related, then you have broken rings, disassembly and replace rings are called for.

Oil change 1999H D Electra glide

The plug ( 3/4 wrench ) under the trans when your looking at the trans cover ( right side of the bike ) is the trans. If you drained that replace it with 24 oz. of either HD trans fluid or I prefer Golden Spectro 75/140 ( much better shifting on a Harley ( trust me you'll never go back to HD trans fluid ) the drain for your motor oils is on the same pan ( on the bottom ) but it's the plug facing the front of the bike. Looks just like the trans plug. Both use a 11105 o ring which you should replace everytime ( just for piece of mind as well as leaks ) you need 4 quarts of 20/59 HD oil. Hope it helps.
