Best thing to do is order one through your bike shop. Generally the threads on the crankshaft are of a particular thread size specific to Yamaha, Honda etc. and sourcing a nut from elsewhere is near impossible. They have to be balanced and are sometimes a left turning thread, and generally comform to a specific wall size for best fit on the parts. Trying to to replicate the nut would be a metter of trial and error. They are not that much more expensive than from a hardware store. Over heating xrm 125 model 2012


Hi, Archie and the usual suspects are:
1. Engine oil level and SAE weight are too low or not circulating.
2. Insufficient or blocked air flow over the engine.
3. Heavy combustion chamber carbon deposits.
4. Ignition timing retarded due to faulty MAP, CKP, or CMP sensor.
5. Carburetor jetted too lean.
6. Leaking intake or exhaust valve.
7. Water coolant old or low change every two years.
8. Water pump failure.
9. Radiator clogged, cap loose or malfunctioning.
10. Radiator fans not coming on.
11. Clutch slipping, brakes dragging, heavy load, towing a trailer etc.
12. Idling too long without moving.
13. For constant hot weather temperatures, mountain, or desert riding conditions consider adding an oil cooler and or cylinder head cooler.

How to change a magneto on a riding lawn mower


Remove the end cover (where a rope starter is or would be). Remove the magneto attachment nut. Acquire a magneto puller. Attach it to the magneto, crank it until the magneto pops off. Find the little rectangular key (which might have popped off the shaft when the magneto popped off), and make sure it's seated in its little groove in the shaft. Place the new magneto on the shaft, install its attachment nut, crank it down.

Hi there, you will have to remove the flywheel and the magneto is usually under it, pretty easy job to do as long as you have a flywheel puller

Too much smoke means too much oil in the fuel, check the auto oil injector, if its electronically controlled, you can try disconnecting battery to reset the system.
