Can i drain the auto oiler and mix my fuel and if so what should I mix it at as it is over oiling and fouling the plug or should I try a hotter plug

NO--- you cannot mix your own fuel
the reason being that the oil is metered to the motor rpm requirements ( idle , low oil , high speed more oil)
the oil metering is done by a setting in the oil metering section and is adjustable
Get a workshop manual and read how to adjust
next the oil should be 2 stroke oil not engine oil as it burns better than ordinary oil
hotter plugs would help but with 2 strokes a plug that is too hot will burn the center electrode faster reducing plug life
you fix is the adjustment of the metering system

How to adjust oiler on mcculloch timber bear

some saws dont have oiler adjustments and if it worked before it dont need adjusting some things you need to check are you using the correct viscosity of oil have you checked the chain bar is clean and free of sawdust and dirt especially where oil enters the bar. after you reassemble ,start the saw and hold it 2 inches from the ground and rev the engine up and down several times watch for oil sling before you cut wood if you have trouble after all this try motor oil instead of bar oil

I had too much oil in my car & noticed some tapping in the engine, I released some of the oil and some of the tapping stopped but not completly. How can I get this tapping to stop?

Start with the car on a flat surface and make sure the oil level is at the right indicator on the oil stick. The tapping is the connecting rods and crankshaft throws hitting the pool of oil because the level is too high. After adjusting theoil level to the propper level. let us know if you still hear the tapping

I have a 450, and I would like to increase my bar oil output. Where is the adjustment screw? Please!

There is no adjuster for the Husqvarna 450. Husqvarna recommend that if there's not enough oil reaching the bar that you slow down the engine by adjusting the carburettor screw. I have the same saw and also wanted to adjust the oil flow. I didn't change the carburettor and it's still cutting away without doing any damage. It's meant to use less than a tank full of oil to the tank full of fuel when you're cutting near constantly. With stops in between it will use more fuel and less oil.

Is there a certain brand or weight of oil I should be using in my 06 sporster 1200 custom?

20w/50 synthetic

04-up is 3 qts.

Drain oil hot, r&r filter, put in oil,........let a couple ounces drain out of the hose to bleed the air out to prevent cavitation inside the oil pump.... run engine about 10 minutes, shut off & let sit for about 2 minutes. Check oil level with bike upright, oil should be at top mark on dipstick, fill as needed.

Don't forget about the Primary Oil...1 qt.

Also remember, there is WAY more to maintaining your bike than just an oil change, belt tension, throttle cable lube and adjustment, clutch adjustment, clutch cable lube and adjustment, primary chain adjustment, brake inpsection, tire pressures, fork oil every 10k miles, steering neck bearing lube and adjustment every 10k miles, etc.

Husqvarna 272 xp, setting for setting screw for oiler

To check for proper oiling, run the saw at speed with the tip of the bar near a piece of cardboard--it should throw off a thin line of oil after several moments of running. Adjust the oil adjust screw CCW for more oil. The screw is usually in the lower front or underneath the engine. Remove the bar and chain first before adjusting anything and check the oil passages located in the drive end of the bar for plugging--especially the two small passages that go from the large oil holes out to the chain groove on both sides. Start the engine without the bar and chain--look at the oil port where the bar mounts next to the engine. It should ooze out oil with the engine running fast. If nothing at all, the pump, oil lines, and oil filter in the tank should be checked. When everything seems to be working, then adjust oil flow for best operation. Hope this helps!
