Swap the caps around from the rear it the fault changes replace the cap, you can also test the cap with a multi meter it should read around 5k ohms or some of them may be 10K look on the cap..

My 50ccKawasaki vin#LM4AA12CX31107695 doesn,t have any spark?

Not a good idea putting your vin number on the internet, anyway the spark problem could be a bad ECU, HT coil, sparkplug cap, HT leads, faulty ignition, kill switch or sidestand switch. It's a process of elimination, sorry.

Coil not firing on one side harley road king

Hi Anonymous, on twin cams make sure both spark plugs are in heads and use a grounded third plug to check for spark or hold spark plug cable close to spark plug in head. If still not getting spark the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Battery voltage below 8.7 volts, loose or broken battery cables especially ground cable to frame.
3. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
5. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
6. Failed CKP, CMP, MAP or BAS sensor.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
Good luck

2002 v star 650 no spark rear clyinder only

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
6. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
10. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Have a 1994 Yamaha Virago 750. Just running on rear cylinder. Good compression and fireing.

Have you checked the spark at the high tension lead or at the sparkplug of the front cylinder?
To make sure the plug is in working order take it out, attach it with a wire to the cylinder, connect the HT lead and see if the spark really reaches the gap. if it doesn't or it's weak then the plug is shorted replace it.

1980 CB900: Friend dropped his bike off for me to troubleshoot. Seems to only fire on one cylinder, #1. The others do not. Any ideas on where to start? I have checked the connectors at the front end as...

You have two coils with two wires each. If one plug wire is firing on a coil the other wire is also firing. Start by replacing your spark plug caps and your spark plugs . NGK makes plug caps for around $5 each. Spark plug caps unscrew off the end of the wire and should measure 5000 OHMs on a voltmeter. If they read higher or lower replace them. With any luck all spark plugs will now spark.

Engine starts back firing. When I check the plugs, the back cyl plug is black. Tells me fuel but should be missing instead of backfiring. Could the resistance from the plug be causing the plug wires to...

On you motorcycle the wire is part of the coil and there are two coils. Either you have a bad coil, a bad spark plug , or a bad spark plug cap. NGK makes some spark plug caps for about $5 each. Replace both of your spark plug caps and spark plugs. This should solve your problem.

Fireing order 04 midnite star got plug wires mixed

Generally the leads are a tight stretch and having slack if around the wrong way. Take the sparkplugs out and connect each to your best choice of leads. Place these so they are resting metal to metal on the cylinder heads. Place your finger tip tightly over front cylinder sparkplug hole and rotate engine with ignition on. When compression is felt (your finger will "pop" off hole) and the sparkplug that sparks will be the front cylinder coil and lead. Repeat procedure with rear cylinder to confirm.....mark F and R on lead caps when your done!

My 2002 suzuki tl 1000 is not starting and the battery its good what could it be. when i turn the ignition nothing turn on i check the the relay an fuses and ther good

Check the ignition coil unit to start with. Is the spark blue or orange? Take sparkplug out,..put on plug cap...touch bottom edge of plug onto metal..[cyl. head], turn bike over...and check for spark color. If spark is "orange",..the coil is shot...replace it.

Remove both sparkplugs from engine. Plug them back in the sparkplug cables and let them rest on the engine.
Make sure your battery is well charged.
Check for sparks while kick-starting...
Interchange the sparkplugs in the cables:
-Same plug give sparks: replace the spark plugs.
-Same side of engine sparks: interchange the low-voltage connector at the ignition coils.
Give it a try:
Same engine side sparks: Replace the defective ignition coil.
Other side of the engine sparks: Check the circuit harness for loose connectors, and/or Clean-replace the breaker points ( left side of the engine carter ).

Rear cylinder not firing

The first thing I would do is replace the spark plugs again. You can foul a plug and it will cause you more problems than you can ever imagine. I see you have done all the logical things that I would recommend but I did not see you have replaced the plugs after the 200 miles. You would be surprised at how many times a $2.00 part can cause fits beyond belief.
