Hi ,
Have you tried starting it with the choke 'on' ?
If it does start thn you have some kind of restriction to the pilot and main jet.
I would suggest you to clean the carburator.

Why does it backfire on startup?

Hi Sammy:
I once had a bike with that problem.
We finally tracked it down to a bad needle valve in the carb.
While it was sitting, gas would get past the carb into the cylinder.
On first spin over, gas in the exhaust would ignite, giving the Gunshot "Hey are you awake yet?"
Try turning the fuel supply valve off when you're going to park it for a long time and see if the problem dis-appears.

My 2005 Honda CB 600 Hornet Over-heats and coolant Greenish water turned very thick creamy and drooping from water tube when ever I pack from one place to another. The Fan works perfectly but still it over...

thick creamy gloop in the cooling water is usually indicitive of a blown head gasket. You are getting oil in your cooling system and the dealer should have recognised this.

Backfiring and trouble starting

If you change the exhaust pipes, you have to sync the carbs (if you cant sync them, you have to change the carb jets), usually it is backfiring because the carbs are not in balance.

No voltage to throttle position sensor from ecu on 20003 honda hornet 600

Problem is if you got to this point step by step the only way to test the control unit is by trying one you know is good.It is usually the last step in diagnosing for spark.

My 1999 honda hornet seems to be making a"whirring" noise

Not sure what to tell you with the information given.
Can you check that the starter-motor is disengaging and it's not that you can hear whizzing round? It'll not last long if it's that.

Carbs don't get bled chap, you can drain them to check for dirt and water or you can balance (synch) them for smoother pickup

Coolant systems (Radiator etc) can be bled v0v

2006 honda shadow 600 backfires through the carb

Sounds to me like your running too rich, IE - theres too much fuel being burned as opposed to air. I'd check and make sure your airfilter isnt dirty, anything that restricts airflow can cause this. Dont leave the enricher on once the bikes started up...make sure you have the right plugs in there
