Best I can do is a 1991 CB250A. There is a 90% likelihood the layout of the trannie will be the same.

Why does bike start and run fine when cold but when she warms up begins to stutter and feels like shes gonna conk out?

Hi, Stevie and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
2. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Spark plugs in bad condition or partially fouled.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition and leaking check for spark leakage in the dark
5. Spark plug gap too close or too wide.
6. Faulty ignition coil, module, and or sensor.
7. Loose, dirty, or corroded ignition module connector at crankcase.
8. Faulty CKP or CMP, MAP, ETS, ATS, TPS, O2 sensor.
9. Intake air leak.
10. Water, dirt, or rust in the fuel system, carburetor and/or filter.
11. Old dead or bad fuel.
12. Fuel tank vent system plugged or carburetor vent line closed off.
13. Vacuum line from intake manifold to fuel valve is broken, cracked, pinched, or missing.
14. Carburetor controls misadjusted.
15. Damaged carburetor.
16. Incorrect valve timing.
17. Weak or broken valve springs.
18. Damaged intake or exhaust valve.
19. Check for engine trouble codes

you did not clean them properly, you have to drain out the gas in the carbs and clean the air channels with thin wire, check the 2 diaphragms

Just installed new carb in my 1989 honda. Used diagram to connect vacuum hoses back up, but car idle speed is too high - up to 2,000rpm. What could be wrong?

try turning down the idle via the idle adjust set screw (usually on the carburetor base). if the problem persists after the engine is warmed up, there may be an issue with the automatic choke. also check the throttle linkage by disconnecting it to see if it is holding the throttle open when connected. if this is the case, you may need to adjust it or find a slightly longer cable.

Try the easy method first. Run some seafoam through the carbs. Follow directions for mixing it into the gas.
If that doesn't work to fix it, it is time to pull the carbs and clean them meticulously. Don't be surprized if you have to rebuild them or replace a few parts. This could cost you up to $250 per carb.
Or it might cost you the price of a can of carb cleaner. If you have the money, or are too skittish have a pro do the cleaning. If you have a clue and like a challenge, there are many websites that explain to you how to clean your carbs.
Good Luck.

2003 honda crf230f will not start.bike worked fine last fall.i put a new spark plug in it,cleaned the carburater, cleaned the air filter & changed the oil.it seems to have good spark but just keeps cranking...

IF you have a battery get a new one ; put in new gas ; super; dsid you ajest any screws on carb. You tight need to run a prime tank right to your carb to prime it; and then hook your tank backup new gas lines to your carb. Now break out with the WD40 to spray all switches for rust.
