Hi, Anonymous for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. I have a 2005 Kawasaki zzr600,when I'm in 1st and 2nd gear I can say I have no problem but when im going faster and in 3rd gear or up it starts jumping, stuttering, losing power.I'll decrease throttle slowly...

everything you describes points to a fuel flow problem being restricted when a full flow is required
you say that you have cleaned the carbies but I am thinking that there is a problem with 1 or 2 units that are hold back full performance
you let off the throttle and it improves slightly, indicates that the air /fuel mixture is getting back to right then it starts again
It may be that the 4 carbies are not tuned together properly, all float levels are not correct or there are blockages in the tank to carby manifold ( check for a filter in the tank at the end of the fuel line or tap)
Basically What I am saying here is that at certain rpms and throttle openings the carbies begin to work against each other
You may have to take it to an accredited bike specialist shop when a proper tune up of the carbies can be done
The engine is red lining so I discount any electronic problems

Hi I have brourght aprilia mx 125 full power model and on Tick over the revs drop and it cuts out also When Riding it sounds nice then sounds like its missing and when full throttling it powers on then...

Just bought Aprillia mx 125 2006 and had the same issue. Today carb came off and cleaned in petrol then air lined the jets. Whilst carb off have a look at the reed valves, clean also. I removed the SAS valve and uprated air filter and check your rave valve cable and solinoid. She runs great cant wait to get arrow exhaust now. Try wareham Aprillia and ask for Ivan Pearce, he is a legend helped over the phone loads. Call 01929 554580 dont give up on her fantastic bike to ride7_17_2014_1_07_32_am.jpg

Basically I'm losing a lot of corner speed, when turning into corners. I shut the throttle off too early and it feels like I'm carrying the bike round the corner. If adjust the throttle mid bend,...

You need to accelerate very gently while you go round the corner. This sounds wrong but even if you hold the throttle in the same position, physics dictates that as you go round the corner you do actually accelerate as you go round a corner at a constant speed (velocity/direction/speed - look it up if your interested!).
So on the approach to any corner, you need to: -
1 Position yourself and the bike for the approaching bend, toward the right hand side of your lane for left hand bends and vice versa.
2 Adjust your speed to one you can quite happily ride around your bend (Slow down by easing off the throttle or appling the brakes)
3 Once at the right speed, (off the brakes) select the right gear for the speed your doing.
4 GENTLY apply some throttle to stop the bike slowing down anymore.
5 Tip the bike into the corner by gently pushing on the left bar for left handers or vice versa keeping the throttle still so that you hold your speed through the corner.
6 As the bend opens up (becomes a straight) gently apply more throttle as you release the pressure on the bar and stop turning.

Good luck with your riding and enjoy!

How do you change rear brake pads on a 2004 fatboy

There are two bolts that hold the rear caliper into the rear caliper bracket. Remove these two bolts and the caliper lifts out of the bracket.

Notice how the pads and the anti-rattle hardware is positioned in the bracket. Replace the pads and hardware making certain that you get the fiber side of the pads against the brake rotor.

Now, you must get the piston back into it's bore. I use either a large C-clamp or a large pair of slip joint pliers to press the piston back into it's bore. Use rags or thin pieces of wood to protect the finish on your caliper.

Once the piston is completely pressed into it's bore, carefully replace the caliper back into the bracket without disturning the pads. Slowly depress and release the rear brake pedal until you get a full firm pedal. Test the brakes before you ride the bike. Failure to properly service the brakes on your bike can result in serious injury or death. Make certain that you do this job correctly or take to an experienced person to have it done. If your bike quits it makes you mad, if it won't stop, it hurts you.

Ride safe.

Sakura S305 electric bike, no speed control

I'm not familiar with that make/model, but if it has a brushed motor then it is likely that you have a faulty controller module. Most brushed motors have just 2 wires running to them from the controller.
