If you are referring to remote trainers' collar then please know that all remote trainers have the same basic 3 components: Remote transmitter, Collar receiver and collar probes.

The transmitter sends a radio signal to the collar receiver. Then, the collar delivers the stimulation to the dog through the stainless steel collar probes. The probes are located on the dog's neck and must have direct contact with the dog's skin in order to properly function.

How does a martingale collar work?

A martingale collar is made of two loops. The large loop is placed around the dogs neck and adjusted to fit loosely. You then need to clip the leash on to the D-ring on the small loop. Essentially, when the dog then pulls on the collar, the pressure on the leash will pull the small loop taunt, which makes the large loop smaller and tighter around your dogs neck.
