Instructions

    • 1 Check the main power cord if the receiver fails to turn on. If it is unplugged or loose, securely plug it in to an electrical outlet. If this fails, try plugging the receiver in to another outlet. If the receiver starts, the previous outlet is damaged. Call an electrician to repair it. If this fails, try turning the receiver on with the remote. If this does not turn the receiver on, try turning it on with the power button on the receiver itself. If this works, change the remote's batteries.
    • 2 Leave the receiver in "Standby" mode if it immediately goes into "Standby" when you turn it on. With the receiver still in "Standby," unplug the main power cord. Wait for around 30 seconds, then plug the receiver back in.

    • 3 Check the audio cables if you experience sound issues. If they are loose or disconnected, securely reconnect them. If you still do not have any audio, press the "Input" left or "Input" right buttons on the front panel to select the appropriate input source. You can also set the receiver to automatically detect input signals and select the appropriate input source. To do this, access "Audio Select" from the main menu and select the "Auto" option.
    • 4 Try factory resetting the receiver if you experience persistent audio or video issues. Press the "Standby/On" button on the receiver's front panel. Press and hold the "Tone Control" button, then press "Standby/On" again. Select the "Preset" option, then choose "Reset." Press "Standby/On."

The simple subject is "parts." The verb is "are." The predicates are "bridge," "strings," and "neck."

Just trying to find out about an eko violin bass model 995 serial no 93377

The Eko Model 995 Violin Bass Model Electric Bass Guitar (1965) was made in Italy, serial # 93377 is a sunburst polyester finish, laminated maple body, laminated maple neck with ebony fingerboard. One of the enduring 1960's oddball bass designs and an American garage band favorites. This model was extremely popular in Los Angeles around 1966- this style bass was used by used by Love, the Standells, the Music Machine, the Grass Roots and many others. Yours is a very early example with some unusual early features include a truss rod adjustment at the headstock, the pickups are the earliest style with multiple magnet poles, the bridge is a compensated wooden unit seen in the '65 catalog. A very cool bass and a bonafide 60's Garage Band classic! Overall length is 44 1/4 in. (112.4 cm.), 13 1/8 in. (33.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1/4 in. (5.7 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 29 1/2 in. (749 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). A very nice collectors item.

The d string on my yamaha ev 204 electric violin has no volume w/ the volume is turned up . Any suggestions?

Hello, what a great violin to own, I am jealous. Each string on your violin has a pickup sensor under it. So, what you have are 4 sensors (one for each string) and the signals are then fed into your violin's electronics and mixed there to provide a wonderful rich sound. The sensor under the D string has a problem. I would look there first and in the electronics package last. The best advice I can offer is this, I also am a musician and play violin and 12 string ovation guitar. I have worked on both my instruments, unless you are very skilled in your knowledge of electronics and the delicate work on the sensors on your violin, I would take it to a craftsman (person) that has the skills to change out the sensor. Sometimes it can be a bad solder connection in the electronics, especially with the vibrations that an instrument causes, again, this would be for someone extremely skilled in instrument repair.

I testing out a Strawberry Blonde II amp with my violin using a Fishman V200 and Fishman GII preamp. I can't seem to get a good sound -- its picking up alot of bow noise and the sound is harsh and raspy....

I have found a good combination for my wife's violin. We are using an Autolycus pickup (from New Zeeland about $70... search Google) and the X2 wireless transmitter/receiver pair. The X2 has the extremely high impedance required by the piezo pickups. This pickup clips onto the top surface of the violin with a small plastic clip through the F hole on the treble side. It is easily moved between instruments.

The Autolycus is sold online and they have a demo there.

Of all the pickups we tried, this one "sounds like a violin" and many people have complemented us on the way the violin sounds. A sound man said of the setup, this is the first violin pickup and wireless he has not had to EQ to sound right.

I used an oscilloscope to verify the output waveform from the pickup matched the resulting output of the X2 receiver.

Note: I had to make my own cable for the pickup which has an RCA female and the original X2 cable supplied had a 1/4 inch male.

I got the X2 system through online ordering from MF. (They recentely had a special on them at $220. The wireless is really nice... no long cable to load down the piezo.
