Need to replace crank case gasket on 99 club car with kawasaki engine

Have removed the crank case hub but can not get to the gasket. Does engine have to be removed or jacked up to clear so gasket can be put on?

On many vehicles the exhaust runs under the oil pan, on others there may have a cross member in the way, or brackets that will hinder oil pan removal. These parts need to be removed. The exhaust nuts/bolts will most likely be rusted. It is best to spray them with penetrating oil. You can use WD-40, PB Blaster, Deep Creep, or something similar. After you have sprayed all of the nuts/bolts, let the penetrating oil soak in for about 10 minutes. Now remove the exhaust pipe that runs under the oil pan. The catalytic converter may, or may not be in the piece that you have to remove. If you have to remove a cross member, simply unbolt it and set it to the side, it is best to mark which side is the front, as some will only go on one way. Other than that, you should not have to pull the engine at all.

This is a 99 lesabre? You don't have to remove the mount. Look in through the wheel well and remove the nut on the mount that is between the crank pulley and the a/c compressor. After you remove the nut, remove the stud with an inverted torx bit. When you remove the stud, the spacer between the mount and the block will come out and then you can change the belt.

You need to take the unit apart down to the system board. Sorry, I do not have the sefrvice manual.

you have given no details to the engine ,make and model so it is nearly impossible to answer
time to get a workshop manual and read the engine section

On the 2007 dodge caravan has there been many problems with it leaking oil from the crank?

This could be a result of the gasket leaking that is between the engine block and the crank case cover (front of engine), or it could be the front crankshaft gasket itself. If it is leaking from the rear of the engine it could be an issue with the gasket between the transmission and the engine block.

Either way it sounds like an issue with a gasket. A replacement could range from ~$200 for a crank case cover to ~$500 for the crankshaft seal.

Not likely. They have different pitch and rotation values and actually have different journal sizes.

I need to replace the rod and crank bearings on my kx100 and I want to know exactly what I need to take apart to get to the crank. What side of the motor do I take off to get to it?

It is a massive job you are talking about doing there. The engine must be removed, and entirely dismantled. Then the engine cases must be split to remove the crank. Not something you should attempt without a work shop manual, and lots of mechanical knowledge.
The crank bearings need to be pressed on.

Leaking crankshaft seal

The manual on the 750 says put new seals on the crank as you install it, and I believe they have a locating lip on the seal that fits in a groove in the cases. which means a split.

I have trimmed the lip off the seal, and installed them with loctite master gasket, the old seal is hard to remove due to the lip

Rockerarm cover gaskits leaking.

These are difficult covers to remove but it is possible to do without removing the engine. You will need to remove ALL of the engine mounting bolts. I have always found it easier to maneuver the engine if the carburetor has been removed as well. You will also need to remove the exhausts including the header pipes. Carefully lift the front of the engine a little and slightly rotate it counterclockwise. Then you should be able to carefully leverage the entire engine forward slightly. At this point you should have just barely enough space to unbolt and remove the valve cover in order to repair your valve cover gasket. Make sure you get a new gasket and cam end plugs. It is recommended by Kawasaki to use "Three-bond 1211" liquid gasket sparingly on the gasket and cam end plug mating surfaces. Carefully replace the valve cover paying special attention to the position of the rubber components before securing the cover. Then simply follow the instructions in reverse to reposition the engine. Have fun ... I too have had a lot of choice words for Kawasaki during these types of repairs, good luck

Change the oil on a 2000 Dodge Caravan

Jack up pass side.Put cardboard, BIG piece under engine just in case. Using a pan to drain the oil in put under oil pan drain plug. Remove drain plug with socket wrench. Let drain 5 min. Check the gasket on the drain plug, if bad replace with new gasket .99 cents to replace gasket only on plug. Put plug back in DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN the plug. Slide drain pan with drained oil to the front to remove oil filter. Using a filter wrench remove oil filter. Let drain. When installing new filter put a little new engine oil on the rubber gasket on the filter with your finger. Screw filter back on tighten with filter wrench. Fill van with oil from front valve cover opening.
