SOURCE: 2001 yamaha r1 seat problem

The lock is for the rear seat. Grab the back corners of the front seat peel/pull back the edges far enough to expose the screwheads, one on each side. Take your allen wrench remove both screws and your front seat will be ready to be reomved. I hope this info helps you.

underneath the back left corners of the riders seat are the two allen head bolts that hold the seat secure. i believe they are 5mm allen heads but they might be 4mm. just kind of fold the corner of the seat back and you will see the bolts. be very careful when reinstalling the seat bolts, they are notorious for being cross threaded.

Why does my r1 start but shut off?


Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Idle speed improperly adjusted.
2. Air fuel mixture screws not properly adjusted.
3. Inlet system air leak.
4. Leaking accelerator pump.
5. Loose low-speed jet.
6. Plugged low-speed jet.
7. Contaminated or plugged low-speed circuit.
8. Enrichner valve/choke not seated or leaking.
9. Multi carburetors out of sync and need to be balanced.

2001 yamaha r1 seat problem
