Question about 1997 Honda CBR 250 RR
I just bought a CBR 250R 1988. The first couple of times starting it was a little difficult but it always got going. It has just been road worthied and serviced before hand over.
I turn ignition on, and press ignition button but it just wont kick over. I try with a little choke and rev it a bit, still nothing. Sometimes it will almost start but just not enough.
Am I starting the bike incorrectly? How should I start the bike. (yes might sound a little dumb)
Better to clean plugs with petrol and a brass wire brush, you may need carbs cleaned out if it has been left sitting with stale fuel in them

You say its see its been serviced if i was you i would buy new plugs if that doesnt work try cleaning carbs and fuel filters and as to starting a 4 stoke they usualy need full on choke in cold weather when you buy plugs get a hotter rated plugs /before you try above take out spark plug/s and brush end that goes into engine with a small wire brush clean well then warm plugs with lighter or burner and replace then try to start bike
