hi there if you can remove the light and put in a few spacers, only on the top screws, then put it back in that should bring the beam down a few more center meaters.

Hi m8,,if all is been adjusted as u say ,and still high,,4 an easier option ,, u will have to take off the head set fairin,, wen u can get to the head light, take off the 2 top screws holding headlight on,,and fit on some spacers or a few washers this will tilt the head light down ,,leave the to bottom screws of the headlight as they are ,, just do the top,, u will have to re adjust the light back up,,cheers

Suddenly High Beam is dead on 2000 vfr. Both bulbs OK on low beam, both bulbs out on high beam.

Obviously headlights can fail but if you are sure this is not it then get an electrical meter and check for the voltage coming out when in low beam and then high beam. If this tests OK, you have a ground or bad bulbs.

Hello, the O/S headlamp aim is very low and has failed the MOT for this, I have tried turning the adjuster on the back of the headlamp unit but it doesn't seem to do anything, would this have adjusted the...

Hi,

Even if you could locate the correct adjuster, you will not be able to align the beam in accordance with MOT's requirements.

Only with the use of an approved Optical machine, will you be able to correctly adjust the beam of your headlights.

Unfortunately, this task is best left for the professionals only. A garage with the appropriate Optical machine can do this adjustment, for a small fee.

No driving or high beam headlights

Replace the high beam switch, it is part of the multifunction switch.

HID lights

I need a good source where I can get HID lights for my 996. Also whats the difficultly rate on install.I'll be the first to say it do a search...covered like crazy. Including posts from myself. Easy install, email [email protected] about kits. I bought a low and high beam for under $120 with compact ballasts and love them.,,,

Headlight adjustment

he airbox will come off pretty easy you have to pulle off the breatherhose from under the airbox it goes behind the rear cylinder. also the funnels on the injectors need to be taken off. I am not sure what kind of funnels there are on a 748 compared to a 996, but you on a 996, you only have to twist them for a 1/4 turn, no more, and then pull, pretty hard, to get them off.,,,

Headlights, high beams

No as a rule they don't fail at the same time, in fact it is unusual for the hi beam to fail ever, the problem is most likely in the turn signal/multifunction switch, this does cause your problem, have seen it many times.
