hi there if you can remove the light and put in a few spacers, only on the top screws, then put it back in that should bring the beam down a few more center meaters.

Hi m8,,if all is been adjusted as u say ,and still high,,4 an easier option ,, u will have to take off the head set fairin,, wen u can get to the head light, take off the 2 top screws holding headlight on,,and fit on some spacers or a few washers this will tilt the head light down ,,leave the to bottom screws of the headlight as they are ,, just do the top,, u will have to re adjust the light back up,,cheers

Ducati 996 no headlights.bulbs are good replaced relay next to battery all other lights are working

Hi, Paul if your headlight is not working, keeps burning out or is dim the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn, chaffed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
3. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
4. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
5. Faulty ignition switch.
6. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
7. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
8. Weak charging alternator/generator.
9. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier, overcharging.

Changed headlight bulbs on my 2000 r1 now only the high beam works no low beam, the fuse is ok.

Hi, K you may have a faulty hi / lo beam switch if your headlight is not working, keeps burning out, blinking, or is dim the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your head light bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chaffed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
8. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
9. Weak charging alternator/generator.
10. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier ground or overcharging.

Ducati ss 800 2007 headlight and turn signals don't work

Hi Joe

I don't own a Ducati or know it's circuits.
But, as an ex auto electrician I suggest the following.... if your short of electrical tools.

Use a simple wire from Battery 12v terminal (with a fuse or 10Amp circuit breaker in series with the wire.
Connect to headlight connector low beam / high beam to see if it works.
Lights work OK?

Use a simple 12v test light connected to ground or Battery Negative to trace the wire back.
Check on either side of connectors.
Check Fuse Block with test light to find open fuse.
Process of elimination

Good Luck

Suddenly High Beam is dead on 2000 vfr. Both bulbs OK on low beam, both bulbs out on high beam.

Obviously headlights can fail but if you are sure this is not it then get an electrical meter and check for the voltage coming out when in low beam and then high beam. If this tests OK, you have a ground or bad bulbs.

Headlight adjustment

he airbox will come off pretty easy you have to pulle off the breatherhose from under the airbox it goes behind the rear cylinder. also the funnels on the injectors need to be taken off. I am not sure what kind of funnels there are on a 748 compared to a 996, but you on a 996, you only have to twist them for a 1/4 turn, no more, and then pull, pretty hard, to get them off.,,,
