Question about 2006 Suzuki GSR 600

Open Question

Stalling GSR600 Hi There My bike is at a Suzuki Dealer and they are battling to fix a porblem. The bike stalls if you pull in the clutch to downshift when comming up to a corner, traffic light or round-about. Seems like it starves of fuel or the fuel injection system doesnt catch the falling revs before idling so the enjine stalls. If you drop the cluch it starts up again ok or if you hit the starter button .... the bike has only done 1600Km's and has just been serviced but the problem persists intermitantly... Please help !

You can reset by disconnecting the battery for about half an hour, but the gaskets on the fuel system have been dry for a couple of months, and in turn have shrunk, this would cause the pressure to drop, and you may need to re-tighten all the screws on the feul pump, rail etc. Hope that helps!

The bike has a sidestand interlock that prevents you from riding away with the kickstand down. That interlock is not functioning properly. Could have been bent or moved, unplugged, or perhaps the relay has failed. If physically activating the switch does not work, and connecting the wires with a jumper does not work start looking at the turn signal relay, some bikes have that circuit integrated into the relay.

Hi, Anonymous I would recommend bleeding it again and doing a proper clutch adjustment for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere $10 you can download another one. Gsx750 clutch cable

See if you can push the bike with it in gear and the clutch lever pulled in. If the clutch is stuck, push start the bike, jump on, get to about 10 mph, pull in the clutch lever and hit the rear brake hard. This will usually break a stuck clutch loose.

Are you using the correct 10W40W wet clutch motorcycle oil? It has special friction modifiers in it for this clutch drag issue.

Hi Mitchmanj, you probably have a clutch switch/sensor issue and I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix or parts inquiry. Clutch

Hi, you might find the nut holding the clutch basket onto the shaft has come loose, so instead of pulling the clutch plates apart you are just pulling the clutch basket along the shaft.
or if the bike has sat for a while you might find the clutch plates have stuck together, this isn't that rare, you can start the bike and roll it along at about 1st gear speed, then click it into gear, then pull the clutch in and rev the engine, this should make the plates loose again. hope this helps, please rate, thanks, good luck
