Question about 2001 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI Electra Glide Ultra Classic
Disconected every thing that blown fuse wouldn't let work, blows as soon as its put in

Hi Anonymous, you have a hard/dead short that should be easy to find generally they are the easiest. Time to get out your test light and start tracking the wire from the power side of the circuit breaker or the blown fuse receiver, when the test light quits lighting you are very close to your short. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below and good luck.

not only headlight is energised when the key is turned on,so it could be anything on the switch, dont just replace it over and over, your wire harness will continue to acrue damage. Check for fuse purpose, then look at that circuit for damage
Tail light may be blown or be grounding out.(may be the problem)

In this case, you're going to need a wiring schematic to trouble shoot the problem. You'll have to disconnect the power lead to each device that the fuse provides power to. Then, replace the fuse and start reconnecting the devices one at the time. When you connect a device and the fuse blows, you have found the problem. I do not have schematics for bikes newer than 1999, I'm sorry.

SOURCE: 2000 Roadking my speedo works
The problem is with the speedo. The speedo has a "lean switch" that works in conjunction with the turn signal canceller. If the bike does not detect a "lean", the TSC will not cancel the turn signals Resolve the speedo problem and the turn signal problem will go away. As for what's causing the speedo problem, I have no idea other than maybe a loose connection. I've read a LOT of problems with the speedo not working on this forum but since I don't work the bikes built in 2000 and later, I'm afraid I have no experience with the problem and therefore cannot offer any advice.
