Christmas comes early. Go to the site below and you can download a free PDF service manual. Yours is the 1st one in the "Suzuki GSF" section of the list. 4 or 5 below that is a PDF parts diagram with part numbers. Most manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language.

SOURCE: gas tank pressure in bandit 1200 1997

Check out this site,
I hope it helps you to some degree.

Actually the fill nozzle at the pump is supposed to vent back pressure of the vapors.. When filling my bike, I hold the boot of the nozzle back so it doesn't block the vapors and kick off the fill process. Good Luck.

Try pulling the switch open, and clean the contacts, or make sure everything still connects as it should.

Change alternator procedure? one bolt hits the frame when trying to take out! how do i get this out?

some times there is a hole lined up close to the bolt in the chassis of the car that allows you to sneak the bolt out. If not, you will most likely have to unbolt the motor mount and lower engine so its on an angle so you can remove this bolt. Make sure you use a decent jack under the engine accompanyed by a peice of wood so you don't do any damage to engines oil pan when lowering or raiseing engine. Some times the mounts can be a little tuff to line up but take your time.

How to replace air filter suzuki 1200 gsf bandit

- Take the seat off.
- Unscrew the two bolts holding the back of the tank.
- Remove (unscrew) the petcock handle.
- Lift the back of the tank. I'm not sure the air filter can be accessed without removing the whole tank. If you have to remove it, it just slides back and up - there are no screws in the front of the tank. Pay attention not to disconnect the hoses/wires if you are just lifting the tank, or disconnect them all if you have to take the tank off.
- Unscrew and remove the battery cover if necessary.
- Unscrew the airbox cover (two screws in top corners).
- Pull the airbox cover back and remove it. It's held at the lower end by two plastic "teeth" - no screws.
- Remove the old filter and put in the new one.
- Put everything back in reverse order.

Refer to the microfiche above for parts layout. This is a simple procedure that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes even with tank removal.

Can u straighten a twisted sub frame on a 1200 bandit

You can straighten any thing, but would not be as straight as the original one and hence it would not be as strong as the original one and the reliability would be down compared to the original one.

How do you replace the engine and transmission in a 1987 Pontiac 6000. It's a 4 cylinder.

Unhook wires at harnesses, unhook hoses after draining fluids, jack front end up, put jack stands under 2 front wheels under the body and position the jack under the main frame that the engine and transmission that the engine and transmission is mounted to, take bolts out of the strut towers on each side, remove 6 main frame bolts, lower jack and roll engine, transmission and frame from under car, you may have to raise back up to fully get it out
