Chana 1000 don't start when hot

On cold my Chana 1000 stars and runs like a dream. But, the moment it is running for about an hour on working temperature, it will NOT start after switching on. Anyone with an idea?

Does it start as normal once it cools down - does it seem to loose power as you drive for a while - might be some kind of vapour lock - the gas tank vent may be blocked and creating a vacuum - so the carbs cant draw gas - any other symptoms----

You need to go thru the carb.s again. Looking closely for very small holes in any of the jets. Next will be to sync the carb.s together.

Most likely a combination of sparkplug heat range (type of plug) and jetting, needle or air mixture settings in the carburetor. Assuming good condition of air filter and operation of the choke plunger. Are you using the correct octane fuel and fuel/oil ratio? Give the plug a clean and emery the spark contacts, set gap at 0.7mm., ideally take the plug to a Yammy dealer and check for correct range for your bike in the area where you ride.
Best to have a range of spare clean plugs handy for wet or hot days etc.
The jetting maybe dirty or wrong size too. In the meantime move the throttle needle clip down one notch. Refer to the site below for a diagram of the carburetor parts. Cheers.

Although I'm a Harley man, I'm going to try to help you on this one. Just like a Harley, your bike is equipped with "enrichers" on each carb. When you pull the cable, a plunger is raised that opens two ports. One port comes straight from the float bowl and the other port runs parallel to the carb throat and this port allows air to flow though it and over the fuel port.

Now, on a bike with an enricher system instead of a "choke" that uses a "throttle plate" to close off the main venturi of the carb, when trying to start the engine cold, you MUST leave the carb completely closed. Do not open the carb at all to start the bike when cold. If your enricher is set up properly, your bike should fire up and run at a slightly high rpm. Once started and warm up begins, you can rev the bike a bit if you don't do it too quickly.

The reason for this is that the fuel passage goes directly into the float bowl. With the carb main venturi completely closed, air is sucked through the enricher circuit bore creating a vacuum that sucks fuel from the float bowl resulting in an overly rich mixture with which to start the cold engine. If you open the carbs main venturi the slightest bit, you reduce the air going though the enricher bore thereby decreasing the vacuum on the fuel from the float bowl causing a too lean mixture for the cold engine to start. I always tell the guys that I work on this problem to let go of the throttle grip and push the start button with their index finger. This makes them leave the throttle completely closed.

Now, if this doesn't work you could have any of several problems with your enricher system. The first problem is to verify that both enricher valves are working on your bike. Your bike is equipped with dual carbs as best as I can remember so it'll have dual enricher circuits as well. Make sure the plunger is being pulled up in both carbs by the lever.

Next, the small hole in the bottom of the float bowl through which the fuel flows up the fuel port of the enricher may be stopped up with a piece of trash. The hole is very small and easily gets plugged. You'll have to remove both float bowls to check this out.

Ok, that's as much as I can tell you about your Honda. I work strictly on Harleys as I can't keep up with the Japanese. They change too much stuff on their bikes too often which makes Harley's easier to work on. I'm an old geezer that's been fooling with Harley's since 1966. I mostly work on older Panheads and Shovelheads that the dealers no longer work on. I also work on the Evolution powered Harleys but I don't touch the Twin Cam engines. They've went to computer controlled fuel systems and such and unless you've got a "breakout box", you can't do a thing with them. I avoid them like the plague.

Can you hear the fuel pump? If not then it will need to be replaced also check the fuel filter they will clog up some times. The other thing is check the fuses for the injection system. and you can also unplug the injectors and test for power at the injectioner.

IF the valve timing was out then starting would be a very big problem. If it starts but will not run then check the throttle settings , idle mixture or fault codes for wires for sensors not connected. check to see if the fuel pump is running and check pump pressure

How do I tell if my spa is in standard mode

I don't think this unit has a switch between economy and standard, it must always be in standard mode. Below is filter cycle programming in case you need that info.

Filter Cycle Programming
The first filter cycle begins six minutes after the spa is energized. The second filter cycle begins 12 hours later. Filter duration is programmable at the Master Control Pad for 2, 4, 6, 8 hours or for continuous filtration, (indicated by
"FC"). The default filter time is two hours. To program, press "Temp", then "Jets." Press "Temp" to adjust. Press "Jets" to exit programming.

When my buick century 1995 is cold it will start but won't rev up. once it is hot it runs okay

Number of possibilities. See if you have any diagnostic codes stored. Could be throttle position sensor, coolant temp. sensor, hard to say. I would start with the codes. Does it start easy when warmed up, and run good? Boy, I just don't know.

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very,very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.

Turn off the water to the machine. Disconnect the cold water hose from the back of the machine and put it in a large bucket. Turn on the water to see if you get full-pressure cold water from the hose. If not, the shut-off valve or other plumbing has a problem.

If you do get cold water from the hose, check the strainer inside the hose fitting on the back of the washer. Clean it if it is clogged. If you still don't get cold water in the machine, you have a problem with either the solenoid valve or the cold water fill contacts in the timer (the timer won't start until the tub is up to the selected level, but if the valve isn't opening or the supply line is otherwise blocked, the machine will never fill). Sometimes in this case you can hear the solenoid valve humming (normally the sound is masked by the running water).

If the problem is a clogged strainer, clean out the hot water strainer also.

I find I get better wash results with warm water (runs both hot and cold for the wash cycle). The soap is more active than in cold water, so I don't need quite so much, and the machine doesn't take as long to finish a cycle since it fills faster. Of course, the cold water has to be running to get the energy savings compared to hot only.

I have a 05' Yamaha 650 V Star and it will only run if the choke is fully out, hot or cold engine. If the choke is pushed in, it immediately dies.

Has the bike been parked for two weeks or more? If so, the fuel has most likely gummed up and plugged fuel passages and jets. Might try adding 1/2 to full can of SeaFoam to existing fuel in the tank, crank the bike and run (with choke if you have to) at a high idle for several minutes. Shut it down and let set for an hour or so allowing the SeaFoam to work. Start bike again and run at high idle again, trying to run it without the choke. If this doesn't work, then the carb probablyneeds a tear down and a manuel cleaning and reset.

Just filled my dream maker brand new has been filled for a couple of hours but all the temp says is ice do you know what that means

This spa is heated by waste heat from the pump. The manual says it can take up to 20 hours to get to 100F. I assume that is starting from 60F. Keep the cover on and let it run at least a day and you should have 100F+ water temperature.

I just installed my new X400 Dreamaker Spa. I filled it with water (although cold) and it has been warming up for approx. 18 hours and is only at 80 degrees? Is this normal? How long should it take to...

This is normal with the dream maker spa. The dream maker spas are poorly insulated, and only run 120 volts with a very small heater.
When the unit is first filled, the hot tub will not heat full time either. Most new hot tubs will have freeze protection below 50 degrees F. They will recirculate automatically using the friction and the pumps heat to warm the water above 50 degrees, and then the heating unit will kick on. These hot tubs do not heat while the jets are on high either, so once you are in it using the jets on high, the temperature will start to fall.

Now that you are up to 80 degrees, it should heat up fairly quick however.

QCA Dream Series, Mystic SPA. Drained, cleaned and re-filled. Following power restore (and 5 min or so prime cycle), the the pump runs continuously at low speed - it NEVER stops. Everything else works fine...

After refiling a spa, typicall the water is below 50 degrees F. Spas have a freeze protection in their programming so that when the water is that cold, the pumps run constantly to keep it from freezing. It will correct itself
