If this is on the handlbar - not right at the carb - there are probably some adjuster ( to compensate for streched cable ) loose these off - probably at both ends - you should be able get the cable nipple out of the socket - why was it stuck - is the cable damaged - or does it just need a good oiling

The choke of the gasoline power generator is stuck.Jetman Gg7200cle -3

You will need to remove the carb and check the Chock post and flaps. I would imagine one of these items are broken on the carb.

If you need a new carb you can purchase it here:
http://www.generatorguru.com/carb-carburetor-10415/

Alternatively, it could be the Chock Assembly. It will be obvious when you remove the carb. http://www.generatorguru.com/choke-assembly-12195/

All other parts are available on this page: http://www.generatorguru.com/gg7200cl-gg7200cle/

Hope this helps! :)

My chock knob won't stay out to Choke the carb. It's hard to start holding the knob out and turning the key and throttle at the sametime

Your choke cable needs some oil and check to see if someone put a big spring on the choke for the return position.

How do you chage a choke knob on a poular chain saw

If the knob is attached to a cable you will need to replace the entire cable which comes with the knob attached. You can just follow the cable and determine how to route the new one and attach it the same as now to the carb.

Auto choke is stuck getting gas into motoroil how do i fix choke

buy a carb rebuild kit (wow old car a near record here....)
or convert auto choke to manual, done every carb car i owned.
i hate auto chokes, all of them , water, stove, or electric, hate.
on hot days, no choke, , no flooding. no washing oil off rings either.
you learn quick just how much chock is best .

finding carb kits are a bit hard , here is uSA.
google for one,
or
ok rock has it

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?carcode=1277197&parttype=6004

and the full rebuild ket too.

seems it the electric type.
replace it and set it like the FSM states.
varies by climate and altitude (higher is less chock set)

High idle problem on 2001 toyota corolla

TRY THE KNOB LOCATED ON THE CARBURETTOR TOP WHICH INCREASE OR REDUCE THE ENGINE RPM.OR CHECK FOR ECCELATOR WIRE THAT MIGHT HAVE GONE STUCK. ALSO SEE THE HALF ROUND ROCKER WHICH IS TURNED WITH THE ECCELATOR LOCATED ON THE ENGINE TOP (CARBURETTOR) HOPE IT DID NOT GOT STUCK CHECK IT MOVEMENT. OTHER REASON COULD BE THE CHOKE THAT GOT ENGAGED AND COT COMING BACK IF IT IS AUTO CHOKE OR IF THE CHOLE IS MANUAL SEE THE PULL KNOB NEAR THE STEERING IF IT IS PULLED OUT HAS TO BE PUSHED IN. ENGINE EXCEED ITS RPM WITH THE CHOKE APPLIED. I DO NOT KNOW WHICH TYPE OF CHOKE YOUR TOYOTA IS USING.

Choke knob is very hard to pull? What could be wrong and whats needed to fix?

There is a tension adjusting bezel at the base of the choke knob. Loosen it to free up the choke action. It is a black plastic ring around the choke shaft. If the choke cable itself is not seized up, this should do the trick.

Chock stuck open

hi most likely the cable is corroded, remove the cable bar end first then unclip from carb end easy job if the cabe is seized the choke will return to its resting position, in this case replace cable, or free off and lubricate old cable.paul

Choke stuck in closed position1984 VW Rabbit

Hi !
Firstly see if the choke wire is stuck from inside itself or from the Carburetor side.
To check this you will need to pull - push the small knob on the Carburetor where the choke wire is attached. If it moves freely then the choke wire is stuck in itself.

If it is stuck from the Carburetor side then you could use a spray like WD40 to free the leaver.

Else disengage the wire from the Carburetor and pull the wire out from the inside. Clean the wire and lubricate it by using any good lubricant (engine oil works the best). Then slowly push the cable back and fasten the wire back with the Carburetor.
Regards
Berry.

Will not idle

two stoke I guees, eletronic choke if so then it is stuck, if not then if slide then slide stuck up a hair...carbs systems use Idle jet and main jet, the main jet is a taper jet with a tapper needle that adjust gas flow as the needle move up air flow across it draws more gas through the hole going to the float bowl but the idle jet is a fixed hole that has a air mixture screw nthat lets you trim the fuel air ratio for idle make sure the srew did not fall out, next a stuck float bowl can flood the idle with too much gas next the chock if half on can cause a high rich gas and cause huigh idle next a sticky throttle cable can cause high idle and just unhook throttle cable to check this the last thing is a points not electrong ignition system bike can cause high idle...air leake into the carb just like a vacum leak in a car can cause high idle...l.start with diss connecting trootle cable then check for needle jet seating then check for choke not stuck last is the float bowl level you get it study how a carb works and you nail this thats how I learned after 115 motorcycles I had seen alot of my own errors....rememeber high idle most likly is to much gas...now how is it getting to much gas is the question most likley
