There seems to be a few ways to unlock the trunk, I looked on the web and found these on a Goldwing forum.
1. What you need to do is get a piece of stiff wire coat hanger etc bend the end into a fish hook then under were the lever is insert same into it and fish for the latch it runs across the inside of the trunk when you open the trunk remove the inner plate to get to the mechanism so you can see what's wrong the latch bar is about level with the trunk key lock.
2. Have you tried turning the key counterclockwise to the left to unlock the trunk. You should feel a slight spring resistance when you do this and the trunk should open.
I can't take any credit for these replies I hope they help, good luck
Cut a quarter inch wide piece of an old credit card, carefully form it it a circle and fit it into the cover so that it pushes the brushes backwards, then offer the armature into the aperture so that the edge of the commutator sits inside the circle of plasic card, once in this position and with a pair of very long nose pincers or tweezers carefully remove the piece of card allowing the edge of the armature commutator (the segmented copper part) to hold the brushes in the same position and carefully wobble in the armature all the way home......Simples!!
If you used a credit card or debit card the easiest way is get a refund by filling with your credit card company for not received items. The credit card company will pretty much handle it but you need to add any communication about the sale. If no response-I doubt you will get one back. They will reverse the charges and return your money.
Hi Anonymous, remove and clean speed sensor located on top of transmission between the transmission top cover and chrome end cap of starter. If that doesn't solve your problem try retrieving any trouble codes that might have been generated because of this issue. If you need assistance with this procedure go to the web site below and they will help walk you through it. http://www.fuelmotousa.com/p-29661-harley-trouble-codes.html
That depends upon what information was stored in the machine, and what format it was stored in. Any personal information could be used by criminals to perform identity theft. Extortion, blackmail, and embarassment/slander could also be motives for the person guilty of such acts. If you have any credit card or bank account information at risk, you should immediately contact these institutions and report the breach. It will be an inconvenience while they reissue you new cards, but the damage of having your credit destroyed is far more painful and long lasting.
you should be able to replace the head gaskets on your evo without removing the whole engine. If you have never done engine work like this before, I would advise purchasing a service manual from harley that will walk you through step by step. I did the same on my 92 softail, which also doesn't give a lot of room the remove the rear top rocket box. Hope this helps.
Not excited about typing in the problem then discovering that my credit card details were required. So went to see a guy who can fix these and all sorted. If you send me your credit card details I will tell you what the solution was.
If the emblems are decals, you can heat them with a hair dryer and peel them off with a credit card. If they're metal, I would think it's easier to take off the metal emblems and have the original tank repainted, or at least touched up.
