My 2002 Sporty 883 is giving me grief. I rode for about 3 hours last weekend and the starter began engaging intermittenly by itself. I let it sit since I washed it earlier thinking it was maybe moisture in the switch. Today, 3 days later, I turned the key in the run position and it started on its own without pressing the start button. It won't do it with the run/stop in the stop position. I don't want to damage the flywheel so I don't want to mess with it too much. I just got the bike a few weeks ago and starting to regret buying a Harley.

Alpha Romeo 156 My Left hand indicator light stays on continually, does not flash. and when I turn the hazard light switch on both indicators continually glow.

Generally speaking, symptoms of a bad or failing turn signal bulb are usually the culprit...in your case, either it's the front left or rear bulb. Varies for different vehicle makes...common signs include:
  1. turn signal light staying on solid
  2. or blinking very fast
  3. or either sides of the bulbs stop blinking altogether.
To test this, make sure you reconnect everything you disconnected.
Turn the left signal light on; go to the front of the vehicle, is the turn signal bulb illuminated? If it lights up, even though it is not blinking obviously the bulb is okay. If it doesn't, replace it- problem solved. You'll do the same procedure for the rear turn signal Is that lit up? If not replace the bulb and the problem is solved.
Another common failure is when the turn signal blinks really fast, same procedure as mentioned above.
If both bulbs for the left side and right side illuminate but don't blink, the problem is in the steering column turn signal switch.
If the left or right side blinkers don't work properly at all...then check the integrated hazard warning/turn signal flasher relay- that may be defective; again, that's usually the case if both sides of the signal light don't work.
If you are blowing any fuses related to the flasher system, you have an electrical overload in the turn signal circuitry.

I have a fiat dobblo my right indicator works fine but my left flashes quickly and they both come on together and they are low

Make sure that all the indicator bulbs on the left is working. Is one of them isn't going on, the rest on the left hand side will flash faster. If you had one of your indicator bulbs replaced recently? The circuit on the indicators have a certain resistance. If one bulb goes faulty. Or replaced by an aftermarket it will behave like that.

My right side turn signals work properly but my left side turn signals don't function. I changed the bulb in the front signal but it didn't do anything...I'm stuck!!

swap the right bulbs to the left side for an easy check. if not the bulbs then will have to start checking connectors and or wiring.

BMW rear left hand side tail light and flasher not working also drivers window not working

The electric window could either be the fuse, switch, or window regulator motor at fault..Sometimes the window motor electric plug can vibrate loose or become loose from door slamming..Also the switch can become loose as well or contamination if you are lucky..You will have to remove door panel to inspect these components..and fuse panel..The light could be a faulty bulb..Check and replace bulb..before involving the signal indicator switch lever...If bulb is at fault go ahead and change bulbs at both rear sides..Do not try to repair signal switch because of air bag..If you can hold down on the turn signal switch and it works the switch is at fault...

All indicators have stopped working

You have the wrong bulb in!

The bulb with the offset pins is a stop / tail bulb, it has two elements and two contacts on the bottom. Typically they are 5 watts element for the taillight and 18 or 21 watts for the stoplight. The offset pins make it so it will only go in one way so the contacts line up to the correct function of Stop light or Tail light. Some cars have combination stop tail bulbs, some have a single 18 watt bulb at the back. The FRONT light indicators are always a single element.

You can see the two elements, the two contacts and the two offset pins in this image.

The left hand indicators on my triumph adventurer 900 have stopped working. The bulbs are ok and the relay ticks away and appears to work ok.

Have you tried swaping the indicator wires around plug the left into the right this will eliminate the indicators themselfs if the problem moves to the other side the relay would be at fault assuming you have checked the bullb wattage

The indicacors have stopped working

sounds like a bad ground, trace where the wires go and check out the grounds, if you have a test light clip it on the frame to ground it and then turn indicators on and put pointy end on the ground wire connection.
