ok. I looked again. Looks like it leaves the gas tank, heads through the carb (small 2" x 2" aluminum colored cube ?) and then heads down to join in with another tube (clear & looks like it's filled with oil?) . Where is the gas line supposed to go after the carb ?

Second tube should be the carburetor. drain. Is it the one that is dripping?
There is a small flat head screw on bottom of carburetor that turns out to let the bowl drain. Check to see if it is lose, if that is what is leaking. If so loosen the screw several turns then re tighten it. Don't over do it.

Why does fuel mix with oil on a Honda 750 magna

Hi, Bob there are three ways in which gas can get into your oil tank/system:
1. Someone deliberately pours gas into your oil tank.
2. The vacuum petcock control rubber fails, which allows gas to flow from the fuel tank through the petcock, through the vacuum line into the intake manifold, then into the combustion chamber, where it seeps past the piston rings and into the bottom end where it gets pumped back into the oil tank.
3. Nonvacuum petcocks that are not turned to the off position will patiently wait until the float needle and seat no longer function properly thus inviting gas to enter the combustion chamber eventually finding it's way to the oil tank.

Why is gas leaking out at bottom of the tank where tube connects to gas tank?

If you have already replaced the clamp and tightened. The tube itself could be cracked. Loosen and bend the tube and inspect closely to see if cracking or split opens up. If it does then replace the tube.
There could also be a crack/hole on or near the bottom tank connection. This can be difficult to locate but holding the hose barb on the bottom with a finger and pouring a little gas into the tank.
The hole/Crack should be easy to find. Vibration will sometimes cause a crack in this location. Typically I suspect the hose.
Today's gasoline is notorious for degrading gas lines due to the additives and ethanol from corn.
Good luck hope this helps

I have a 1995 Honda Shadow 1100 carbs fill up with gas and it'll run for a couple seconds and then it Dies and the cards will not fill up again I dont know what to do Can someone please help??????

Hi Devrin:
Sounds like the fuel is being obstructed somehow. Try checking be turning the fuel shutoff valve off. Then disconnect the fuel hose from the tank to the carb at the carb, Hold it over a container and turn the fuel valve on. Gas should jout POUR out of the tube. If it doesn't, there may be an in line filter that is plugged, there may be grunge in the bottom of the tank plugging the outlet, or possibly, the vent in the gas cap may be plugged which would create a vacuum in the tank as fuel was used. This is rare but can drive you crazy trying to find it.
Hope some of these ideas will help you.
Remember, You're playing with gas, so NO SMOKING!

Fuel pump replaced 3 times. Now gasoline is pouring out underneath

The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. It's possible that the last time it was replaced, one of the fuel line connections was left loose. Have it checked out immediately!

Poulan/Weedeater BV1650 gas trimmer: Will not start/run without pouring gas into carb. Took filter/pickup out of tank. Seems to blow through okay but plan to replace. Pulled both fuel lines (one for...

The filter sounds like the weighted type. If so, it keeps the pickup line on the bottom. The piece that keeps the tube in the tank can just be a piece of a little larger tube pressed over the pickup tube. Yoi will have to thread new tubing in and pull it out the fill hole. Place the keeper on the tube and press the filter into the pickup tube. Once you are ready, pull the pickup tube inti the tank until the keeper touches the tank side. Hook up to the primer and try it. Good luck...Lee

Replace fuel lines WeedEater FL 1500 Blower

On the FL1500:
  • The Smaller line goes on the Lower inlet tube on the carborater the other end goes to the gas filter inside the gas tank.
  • The Larger line goes on the upper outlet tube on the carborater the other end goes to a fitting that holds this tube from coming out on the gas tank .This tube is only for Air, it helps fill the primer bulb when pushed.
I hope this helps.
Mechs correct me if I have made a mistake.

Reattaching fuel line to gas tank.

Get a new line the same size and length of the old one. Get the filter out of the tank. If it is as I think, it has a barbed end that goes into the outlet hole. Take your new line, fit it onto the filter end and make sure it is all the way on. Take the other end of the line and cut a taper on the end. Thread the end through the tank, into the outlet hole and aissist it so your filter sticks through the tank hole. There was a ring on the outside of the tank, on the line. Take that ring and run the ring over the end of the tube up to the filter bottom. Make sure it goes all the way up to the bottom, and tight.Square off the end and slip it onto the carb...Good luck...Lee

Hole at top of fuel tank

yes two tube always go into the gas tanks. you should be able to find the connection were that tube is suppose to go. if you have a tube in the tank with the filter on end you know it(the missing fuel line) just needs a atraight tube into the tank from a barbed port(were the other end hooks to). let me know if you do not understand.
