SOURCE: Can I use after market motorcycle oil in my HD

Yes, any quality air cooled engine oil will suffice, and in a pinch/emergency any oil is better than no/ very low oil.

SOURCE: Where is the headlamp switch

Unless you have something "custom" on your bike, the "HI/LO" switch is on the right handlebar switch housing. The main ignition switch turns on the headlights. From the factory, when you turn the ignition switch on, the headlight automatically comes on as most states require motorcycles to have their headlight on at all times when on the road. Now, some riders modify the wiring so that they can start the engine without the headlights on thinking the additional current will start the engine better. Once started, they will turn the switch one more click clockwise for the lights. I think the late models have an extra click before it goes to the "accessory" posititons. The older ones do anyway. I'm pretty sure the later models are the same way but I can't say that for certain as my expertise goes up though the '90's models. I do not work on the twin cam powered bikes.

Good Luck
Steve

How do I hook up the accessory lights to my 2008 electra glide classic

There should be a plug under the seat, this is what is used to plug the lights in, it is controlled by the accessory switch near the ignition switch.
